Murtaya

My biases come from originally having unsupported biases, and then finding out—after gaining actual experiences—that they were wrong. So now I try to get my bias from experience. For example:

EVs - I always thought my ideal car would be silent, have instant torque, perfect traction, and not have any requirement for

I’m biased, but I’d have to say a Murtaya. Smaller than a Miata and other small cars (it even looks up to original Minis), but with AWD and the torque and power of a full size truck.

Now that you mention it, I realize that I’m an irrational fan of these, too....I always look for the little red “SuperCharged” badge on the sides and get excited when I see one.

I really hoping this improves in the future and am happy to see some of these get called out—especially if the car companies have figured out how to “game” the system to get inflated numbers with EVs better than they can with ICEs due to the relatively new EV testing methods.

My EV—even when driven slow and gently,

I think you can even get it in grey.  Like all my posts.  Every...single...one...

Small, 2-door, AWD, turbo, manual, Yaris GR!

A Tesla Plaid.

I even offered a Subaru-based AWD sports car...but nope: MINIVAN!

I’m biased, but I’m gonna say Murtaya. All the power, traction, sounds, and engagement of a Subaru STi, but in a lighter-weight, sportier-looking package that’s smaller than a Miata. And rare!

I got a Model S to use when transporting people or classy occasions. I bought it despite Musk, not because of him. I really think it’s pretty cool (scary?) that regular folks can get a 1000hp car and that cars can do normal daily drives using just battery power. When people say “it just makes sense” when you first

Absolutely this. This is not a “logical” thing, which seems to be such a hard thing for many EV owners to understand. It’s not logical to drive an engaging car that leaves you buzzy, tired, too hot/cold after five hours of driving, and then want to drive another five hours with it while on the other hand an EV keeps

I don’t think EV stations will ever really need to be as numerous as gas stations; many (most?) EV owners will primarily charge up at home, and probably only use EV stations when on trips. I’ve never used an EV station closer than 200 miles away from my house (and rarely use them in general), but I have to use gas

Oh, I’m still complaining about the missing stalks. ;)

Just as a correction, this is for the Model X and Model S, not the Model Y.

Glad this finally came along...not just because it was sorely needed, but also because it shows Tesla can turn around on its stupid design decisions...AND silence the Tesla fans who claimed the yoke will make the steering wheel be the next tille

I love small, lightweight, rare, AWD, 2-door cars. So.....in terms of the amount of relative difficulty it would be to find and get these foreign cars...

Low Difficulty? A Yaris GR:

Oh, and as far as colors, the higher spec versions have some greys available.  :D

Thanks for the review. It would be great to hear more comparisons/experiences between the GRC and the 2004 STi—like even a chart that compares fun level, steering, shift, clutch feel, ride, handling, etc. I know a lot of previous WRX/STi owners are always curious about such comparisons with the GRC, and the fact that

Tesla owner here agreeing with you. Having to deal with dumb decisions like yokes and touchscreen everything really does make the overall car experience worse. I’d argue that it’d be a lot better if so much of the car wasn’t designed around autonomous driving (or the eventual hope of it).

One the bright side, maybe in

Sounds right to me—though I think the ‘small’ characteristic usually goes hand-in-hand with ‘lightweight’, and both of those really help make a car fun and engaging to drive. Big cars and trucks—no matter how fast—don’t seem to be anywhere near as enjoyable as driving a small little rig to me.

But they will also spoil

Already own a Model S Plaid, but I’d like for them to come out with a fun, engaging, lightweight EV. Unfortunately, while lightweight might eventually happen with improvements in technology, I honestly see the nature of electric vehicles preventing them from ever being fun and engaging. Fantastic for driving
