Salt can easily do exactly the same things that MSG does in high quantities (like used in this study). The only difference is that we can easily taste salt and avoid it accordingly.

Except it’s not a good example of goalpost moving. I have a dairy allergy, it doesn’t mean I will look at a healthy suggestions/diets and think that I can ignore my issues. It comes with the territory of having a dietary issue, that to say something is ‘healthy’ is just a commonly accepted generalisation.
So you mentioned this:
Dude if you read about the history of “Chinese restaurant syndrome” and don’t see the racism, you have a vastly different worldview than most of the people here
right. because there isn’t a general, culture-permeating prejudice against those ingredients that was based on a racist study with irreproducible results.
I am a gay man. When I was in college I had one-night stand with a fellow collegian.
I wear corsets and long line bras to help with spine and posture issues, and yeah, as long as it’s fitted correctly, it’s really not uncomfortable.
Honestly my first thought when I read that quote from Emma Stone was that she had a badly made corset.
I’ve worn a lot of crappy fashion corsets over my life, but I finally had the money saved for an expensive, well-made-but-not-even-custom corset. Night and day. I could not believe how comfortable that corset is. Like so comfortable, I have to be careful not to tight lace too far because it is so easy to go into…
She wasn’t saying the corsets themselves made people live longer-she was actually disproving the notion that they caused shorter lives:
I was watching a video with a woman who makes and sells corsets and she basically put it this way: your corset should feel like a warm hug. A corset, well-made and well-fit, should not hurt at all. Your movement is a bit restricted in the sense that you can’t really bend at the waist but that kinda forces you to have…
I make corsets - for fun*, not commercially, and there’s a biiiiig difference between the types of corsetry and what we see on the big screen. Stays practically change nothing but give fantastic support - short stays are essentially long line bras and with luscious breasts that support is desperately needed. My…
So, for the 35 years after WWII (wherein we had the same tax rates she wants to implement), America was a communist’s dream?
I love that she has the guts to clap back at these blowhards but is doing it in a way that is not calling them liars, sexists or alarmists, but by basically calling them idiots and making them prove their knowledge. I don’t think a lot of our politicians really know their stuff when it comes to constitutional law, tax…
Yes fucking please.
I don’t agree that he was condescending. I think that’s just his face.
Yes, you, a single person who went to this place occasionally put this place on the map, all by yourself, because your level of influence is just that monumental. Also you’re right, they’re rejecting your child specifically - it is a slap in the face to you! Also, you and your child are the most important people in…
Interesting background story I just saw on Twitter (thread):
My mother’s friend does that — she uses makeup to look like a different person everyday. I have walked past her on the street and she would call me out for not saying hello. I have to squint before I realize it’s her.
Of course they benefit, who was thinking they don't?
