That’s gonna be a sick tattoo! :)
That’s gonna be a sick tattoo! :)
I said just that with “a heart condition exacerbated by the physical stress of a fight” above. That the autopsy did not detect any other internal injuries or significant blunt force trauma indicates that she was not “beaten to death.”
Bra sizes keep going. A B C D E F G H I... I’m a 40 H, or more accurately a 38 I (but that size is almost impossible to find).
It might mean 2nd degree or a lesser charge.
Maybe? I think it’s a separate concern with a whole host of other factors attached (speed of reflexes, response time, education...). I guess I think people should start learning how to drive at 15, but spend more time officially learning to drive with permits and conditional licenses. I think that will make better…
That’s true—you don’t accidently beat someone to death. According to reports, the girl wasn’t beat to death. She died from a heart condition exacerbated by the physical stress of a fight, it’s an important distinction.
It’s not difficult to understand: A juvenile crime is not juvenile because it’s not very bad. A juvenile crime is juvenile because it is committed by a juvenile.
There’s another news report that does talk about it a bit. The gist seems to be that the victim would not have died had she not suffered a serious heart condition, but she also would not have died had she not been fighting. Read to me like the stress of the fight was too much for her heart:
Accident is being used by the attorney to refer to the fact that none of the participants intended to kill the girl (same for me). Consensual is being used to refer to the fact that allegedly the victim agreed to the fight and participated in choosing the time and place. Neither of those things make the victim any…
Not that exact element of this case, but the lack of impulse control and consideration of consequences.
Absolutely. Juveniles need to be charged as juveniles. It’s the whole reason that separate system exists.
Would I want the other child tried as a juvenile? I think so, but it’s really difficult to say since I’m not in that place.
It’s really easy to reduce this situation to its simplest elements and say, “this is murderous behavior, I was never like this.” I didn’t fight as a teenager either, but I did insanely stupid shit. I did it because I A) lacked impulse control, and B) lacked foresight. That’s classic teenager behavior.
I think that’s unlikely? Most people do.
Thank you. Violence is not necessarily indicative of teenagers, but lack of impulse control is.
I’m not pro-fighting but I acknowledge that kids do fight and always have. The victim’s death is a horrible tragedy, but also an accident. A preventable accident for sure—which makes it worse—but still an accident.
That’s gorgeous. Etsy is *the* place I get bags now. (And when people ask where my bag is from, I can be an ass and say straightfaced: “handmade in Poland” and then add “Etsy!”)
Here’s the thing: I wasn’t sure, based on the article, what to think at first. However, having read your comment here and others by people getting defensive and decrying this article, I am now 100% sure this is a cult.
I don’t get bent out of shape about it (I use Photoshop daily) but it’s really more like, “No, I cannot pass you the kleenex because I do not have any. However, I do have some paper towels that I can give you.”
