Let’s face it: the main reason these mouthbreathers are bent out of shape about Saga Anderson being Black is because of the use of Norse mythology in Alan Wake and in her character’s story arc particularly. It’s barely veiled white supremacist nonsense.

Andor was a masterclass in genre storytelling. Rings of Power was a bunch of empty mystery boxes and macguffins slapped together with spot, tape, and not-so-great performances. They don’t belong in the same breath as one another.

Andor was also just way better than Rings of Power.

On the one hand, it’s too bad because the last episode or two were in a lot of ways the best of the season. On the other hand please for the love of everything let this be a wakeup call that they need to hire actually competent writers next season.

I don’t know that I’d call anything about The Rings of Power "excellently crafted", nor did I find the silly revelations at the end to be a reward.

I thought Andor was very good and worth the investment. On the other hand, Rings of Power was pretty tedious from start to finish. If I wasn’t a nerd with fond memories of devouring Tolkein as a child, I would have bailed as well.

That’s like a hat on a hat on a hat. 

Considering its free, it couldnt hurt to try. I had rented it and was enjoying the single player campaign. I gave up though because if I recall, just about every other level was the generic open space that just screams [Destiny Patrol Zone] to me.

I don’t know that Fast X is that safe of a bet to break a billion.

So less than half of Black Adam’s opening, but we’ll see how it fares in the long run.
