The correct answer was not to try to force it to be some sort of Destiny clone, I guess. But, yeah, they didn’t want to piss off the paying customers.

Huh. I got the PC version free with an Intel CPU purchase, guess now is the time to see just how terrible it is even with everything unlocked for free.
Good response. I’m not a huge Stalker guy (well, I loved the movie and novella), but I’ll buy this to support the devs. Now I gotta figure out how to buy it to ensure the biggest cut goes to them.
Arming Iraq in the 70s and 80s as a counterweight to Iran was idiotic. I am ambivalent about the Gulf War in ‘91 and ‘92. The invasion in 2003 and subsequent was an enormous mistake and doomed from the get-go. If you think the WMD inspection was the actual motivation in the US government and political parties behind…
I am only 25% kidding! I also think some sort of time management/visual novel/choose-your-own-adventure game interspersed with minigames or what I think of as “maxigames” - single-instance but fleshed-out and maybe somewhat lengthy (30 minutes or more) gameplay scenarios that are each unique and embody a particular…
The combat was okay and overstayed its welcome near the end.
Yes. Superman is at his best as a character when he’s in a story about how an invincible man with superpowers still must make hard choices in order to live up to his necessarily high moral and ethical standards.
By making it a Telltale-style adventure game that’s about choices and relationships rather than beating people up!
I dunno, both Vietnam and Iraq were pretty bad. I say this as someone who is very glad the USA is supporting Ukraine.
Yes, I equally don’t buy new CoD or Tom Clancy games. Hell, Activision’s deep connections with warmongers is one of the reasons I avoid all Activision games these days.
I dunno, it seems like this review engages with the art and finds it lame.
Are you mad about othering men who want but don’t have sex partners or about othering misogynists?
I love all kinds of pizza (not you, St. Louis style), but you can’t get a slice of Chicago pizza after the bar and eat it as you’re walking home. A Chicago pizza is a whole damn delicious meal.
Yeah, I try to live my life in a way that minimizes my exposure to random tweens and teenagers on a daily basis.
“The real shame is if they’d just dispensed with Joel and Ellie and let them ride off into the sunset (bittersweet ending and all) and let Abby just have her own game, it would have worked so much better.”

It’s a phenomenal and gutsy AAA game in how it sets up that last scene. Kind of like TLoU 1!
I think the fact that most of the main characters in TLoU2 are women will be a big problem for the moron set. But, yeah, the extremely spoilery but also very intersting and well-executed thing TLoU2 does w/r/t gameplay would be hard to really capture in a show or movie.
TLoU 2 was as good as 1, as far as the plot goes.
