I haven’t gotten very far into RE8 (just properly started the castle), but I *just* completed 7 and it does feel like a continuation.

I kinda like how much of a doof Ethan is. I mean, if he weren’t a complete idiot, he never would have gone to Louisiana in the first game.

I may be wrong, but the scenario and dialogue spoken by the Kanien’kehá:ka was most likely not written by someone who was Kanien’kehá:ka, just translated into Kanien’kehá:ka by a Kanien’kehá:ka- they characters are speaking words put in their mouths, indirectly, by colonizers or foreigners anyway. And this translation…

No. But there are sections, especially of the recent games, that feature tough monsters stalking you. 

I felt the same way about 7 at first, but it does feel different from Amnesia or Alien Isolation and more like an old-school RE game, insofar as combat against tough, but defeatable enemies goes.

Man, back in my day young adult men would blow a few lines in between whiskey shots instead of demeaning themselves with something called “Gamer Fuel” that tastes like the Kool-Aid man’s homemade methamphetamine.

I can afford a VR headset without too much trouble but even then I don’t think the sparse library of VR games justifies the purchase. I'm not even tempted!

I dunno. One of the more destructive features of modern capitalism is companies’ focus on the short-term at the expense of the long-term. Epic at least claims to be playing a long game here, and I’m inclined to believe them.

I think sharing a voice actor is good, just they should sound a little bit distinct.

I know they didn’t want to do Inside Out, but I just wish they went slightly further - I’m thinking the sorts of difference between the voices during the opening sequence.

Love this game but after playing an hour of the Final Cut, I kind of wish they gave the interior voices different, erm, voices. Otherwise I am excited to go through it all again as a very different kind of cop!

I ruined one of these bad boys trying to play Kid Icarus, IIRC. It was the controller’s fault.

This is a single-player game? I thought it was essentially built to be an MP game that just allows you to play alone if you really feel the need.
