I was there. It was a stunt. Two guys from a Mustang club parked it in the MORE show car lot and ran. Event organizers had it towed within 5 minutes.

If I had a dollar for every frame in this gif, I'd still have to beg for spare change to get a sandwich at subway.

Before I bought my Cobra I would drag race anything and I do mean anything. Hell there is a local bracket racer who has had a 8+ year winning streak in various Daily driver FWD Pontiac sedans (Grand Prix, G6 ETC).

Oh for sure, I just figured 550HP in a dedicated drag machine would be a little quicker than that. I know it's not a tremendous amount of power but it is certainly significant.

While I usually leave your articles wondering how you can breathe and do anything else at the same time, I can't say I'd have done anything different if it were me going down the drag strip for the first time. I consider myself lucky that I haven't been able to fit drag racing into my budget.
