That's what I don't get - the top of her dress is black, so you couldn't find a pair of your own black shoes to wear? Even a simple black pump (while neither "springy", "edgy" or necessarily "Glamorous") would have been better. Those shoes just look so uncomfortable I am getting foot cramps just looking at them!
