We have two whippets (working on a 3rd), and it’s the same thing whether it’s one or three. They take up the whole entire bed and insist on snuggling with the human. I’ve always thought it was a whippet/greyhound thing?

Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is very special to Armenians of the diaspora. It is like the muslim Mecca. Many Armenians make at least one trip in their lifetimes. As in most orthodox churches, head covering for women is a must. Usually, it’s a lacy veil, not the full Madonna:
It’s such a mind-bending process. I mean that in the most positive way possible: I’m an old (ish) and working so hard not to let my thinking atrophy just because the ideas and concepts I grew up with seem more comfortable. Every day is a fight to bend my thinking, my preconceived notions of what things are, what they…
“women-identifying people”. I love that.
I’ve always loved her, from her first hit, to her DGAF attitude as she discarded men in her wake. I hope she keeps going from strength to strength.
This is one of the (many) reasons I follow you on Twitter.
I get it. This is much like Al Capone finally getting convicted for tax evasion. After all the crimes he committed, where everyone knew he did it, they got him on the only thing they could prove and it was a sliver of his real guilt. But they got him.
Thanks so much for explaining...I had no idea! Still think it’s a questionable idea for a wedding, but whatever floats their boat...
Why is “Till death do us part” in quotations? Is there attribution that I’m missing? Is it a metaphor? A nice thought?
He’s a troll. He’s been doing this all over this thread to a bunch of other people (me included). Ignore. Dismiss.
It also strikes me as misogynist
Reading about Cody Simpson and his rebound prince status made me think of the original: Kelly Slater...you know, the most famous pro-surfer of them all who seemed to make it a second career to console the famous, beautiful girlfriends of other famous people after their break up? He was a shoulder to cry on for Pamela…
Unpopular opinion ahead (only tangentially related to the story): I always thought it was cheap of Elton John to refashion “Goodbye Norma Jean” to “Goodbye English Rose” as his tribute to Diana when she died.
I should say that I don’t know whether this tendency applies equally to LGBTQA couples.
As a psychologist explained it to me: couples that live together without being married tend to make things up as they go along in setting the terms of the relationship. Since most of us come from families of married couples, there are no pre-conceived notions of what living together means, even if they have children.
It’s hard to sit there and be told that your good intentions are harmful. Ask me how I know. I’m lucky that someone from this community called me out 3 or 4 years ago for derailing a conversation about WOC and making it about me (I thought I was being oh, so empathetic). I say lucky because she was smart, clearly…
Thanks for the update...I’m one of the people he blocked so...
Hubby was diagnosed with pneumonia 6 weeks ago, and he’s still recovering. Don’t fight through it: go to your doctor, take the antibiotics and REST. Getting back to ‘normal’ life too quickly will only cause the disease to snap back. Ask me how I know.
And he’s blocking everyone who brings it up. Fucking coward.
It’s so much worse that mere misogyny. Let me introduce you to Mark B. Spiegel, Managing Member of Stanphyl Capital, in a now-deleted tweet wishing that Jeffrey Epstein had gotten to her:
