You know, as much as I like the chops on Jai, I’m not sure any of these roles couldn’t be done just as well by the actors that were already cast in them on Arrow. Apart from Viola Davis, of course, who in those few short clips has already done a better Waller than the Arrow version ever could.

Other examples include the career of Phil Lord and Chris Miller. A movie length building toy advertisement and a comedy reboot of a forgotten TV series should not have worked as well as they did.

Paul Dini (replacing Goyer) could have saved Man of Steel.

I think you meant Ray, and yes, totally agreed. Their comic book inspirations even dated for a while (Barbara Gordon/Oracle and Ted Kord/Blue Beetle) and were well matched then too.

After watching that trailer I am even more convinced that Jamie Lee Curtis will be the killer. Too perfect on multiple fronts. Still gonna watch it!

Thanks for the pics, that’s what I suspected but hadn’t seen the paintings in a while. Looks like McQuarrie did draw it as part of Jabba’s monastery-turned-palace, which was the context that Clone Wars used it. I’m glad the movie is using McQuarrie art but hopefully they are mindful of its previously established…

I thought the complaints weren’t about her being pretty or not, but rather about her musculature or lack thereof. I don’t know anything about her as I’ve not seen any of her previous work, and am waiting for the movie. But she has a good presence in that trailer.

Definitely not the same suit. The movie suits have a different storm flap, narrower spacing between stripes, a different material (not just different color), different pockets, and might not have the tape on the shins. Inspired by the Dickies one, perhaps, but there are many many other jumpsuits with reflective tape…

Yes please, it sounds like this season would be perfect to bring him in. And now that they know the fate of the show there’s nothing stopping them, is there?
