Amazing. Every word of what you typed is wrong.
Yup - that photo summarizes the problem perfectly.
Call me carist if you like, but I would prefer a modern version with slimmer bones and two less doors.
Shortened version: You were driving 35K+ miles per year in an SUV.
No doubt - overall, the benefits of owning an EV (for those of us that can have it as a second vehicle) far outweigh the demerits. Just pointing out that it is odd that our state would have a higher road use tax EVs than ICE vehicles.
Washington (State) makes sense as the best place to own an EV - with the exception of the vehicle licensing costs. Because EVs are paying zero gasoline taxes they decided to add 14K at 35mpg of those fees (average ICE numbers) into the annual required payment to use the vehicle on public roads. As a result, the State…
Thanks to a ruling by the SCOTUS, students cannot be disciplined for activity outside of school when the court determined this year that it would be a violation of the first amendment. Public school systems cannot legally discipline students for activity outside of school, even if said activity is shared…
Except dino juice runs over $4 a gallon here in the Pacific Northwest right now which puts the comparison on ICE [excuse] since the 33 miles costs the same between the two — if you always pay to charge your EV. But reality is that most EV owners charge their car at home most of the time.
Obviously this is not true. Folgers has been making beanless coffee since 1850.
Agreed. It is a good list for the “gaming curious” but none of these are going to get the attention of non-gamers.
It’s worth reading the article. “Induced demand” is why adding lanes typically increases the number of cars on the road and traffic continues to move at the same speed. So, yes, your point that adding lanes places more cars on the road is very true, but that also means more drivers impacted by the traffic (which then…
Let the Chinese keep the bastard-car Integra and sign me up for a new Honda Prelude, please.

Damn it, Torch. I’ve been trying for months to get my two teenagers to appreciate great automotive design and then you toss that on here? We’re going to have nightmares for weeks. Thanks a lot.
What happens when Sony’s servers no longer support this game? Will the career mode no longer work? As someone who occasionally plays a round of GT2 (still love that Cardigans intro) - I am having a difficult time imagining Sony (or Microsoft or EA or Nintendo or ...) still supporting it more than 20 years later.
Clearly my brain cells were working as well as those at the RV company - I think I understand your point now. The only advantage I can think is that it also serves as battery/generator for the RV itself. But — yeah, I’m not buying that one, either.
I suspect I am completely misunderstanding your point, but —- being an RV, it is assumed that every trip would require the ICE, so a bigger battery would only require additional fuel usage. Their engineering goal would be to implement as small of a battery as needed for the purpose.
