And thank you for sharing yours which highlights why legality is so important.
Well said!
I don't consider it murder to have a bundle of undifferentiated cells removed from my body. Approximately 1 in 5 pregnancies are miscarriages. Are women who have miscarriages guilty of manslaughter because they were unable to carry that pregnancy to term? I believe (as you can read in my post) that I made the right…
I'm so glad you got a diagnosis. And vindication.
I'm so sorry you had to go through that! It's hard enough to have a child with developmental delays, and the inevitable guilt and struggles that go with it; but to have other people piling on must have been miserable. I'm glad that you've got a diagnosis and some peace.
I wish that all pro-life people felt the way that you do. I am also pro-choice, and have friends who are like you who are pro-life and pro-choice: one won't even use the pill or an IUD because there is still some doubt in her mind as to whether it aborts a fertilized egg. But we all believe that choosing is personal…
Good luck with your PhD! That's exciting, and so much better for the world than two more unhappy people.
Well said! Also, why their regret should translate to me losing my choices is a huge mystery to me.
Thanks! He's a pretty great kid, but he might not have been had he been born to the younger me.
I'm so glad that you were able to make the choices that have led to you having a job that fulfills you and helps others. It's an abortion miracle! Or just the normal consequence of having the right to choose; but either way, I'm glad you had access to the choice.
Sometimes I imagine an alternate universe where I had not had an abortion. In it I have a child with a mild/moderate autism spectrum disorder at a time when there was no diagnosis of Aspergers syndrome. Since I am only 14 and live in a very religious community and family, I am estranged from my few friends. My son's…
Make that 99.99% and I'd agree.
I just adopted a cat less than two weeks ago. They called all three references, my landlord, and my veterinarian, asked about how previous pets died, requested a home visit (I turned them down on that one), and had me fill out a questionnaire about how I deal with behavioral problems in my pets. It took three days to…
Yuck. I'll be eating oranges from now on and skipping the juice.
It's probably awfully nice to have a penis. I just try to look for the positives of not having one where I can. :)
Makes me glad I don't have a penis and never lived in the 1800's.
So is my morning glass of orange juice going to fatten my liver?
I am the same way, but my periods of stink tend to coincide with my period. I have one ear that over-produces earwax on occasion, but it's never stinky. If your earwax is smelly, that is certainly a mutant superpower. Or an infection.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that not only are none of them women, they must not know too many women either.
