Agreed. People get all worked up about things and totally forget about correlation vs. causation. When I hear someone say something like, "The killer played video games," I think, "The killers ate food and breathed air. He was known to use automobiles and watch TV. It has been reported that the killer had parents."

It is. I had just reread it for the third time when I needed to make a new screen name. The phrase "I cowdled thee as a mommet" was stuck in my head like a chant, so I was glad to get some use of it.

You and me both, sister. I could see spending that much if you got your hair and nails done every week, and if the total included pantyhose, makeup, and high-heeled shoes. Of course I spend between $0 and $35 a month on those things (averaging around $5), so someone else must be making up my shortfall.

I read a few paragraphs, got hungry, and now I'm heading to lunch. But the sentence, "The future is in your ham-slick hands!" is going to haunt me all day, I'm sure of it.

That makes a lot of sense to me.

OMG! My mom and I were just talking about this guy the other day! I used to work at Cherry Creek Mall, and I was saying to my mom that I remembered seeing him walking the mall every day 20 years ago, and that he was old then! It came up because we saw him at the mall the day after Christmas. I can't wait to share this

Just out of curiosity, how old are you? I'm 40 and it is a bit annoying to me. I wonder if it is perhaps a generational thing, as is suggested by the article.

I was thinking that I could wear a turtleneck underneath. That way I get the neck-area coverage and the tight sleeves that God prefers. When I'm feeling racy, I could do a mock-turtleneck.

I would have to wear a giant balloon or a potato sack dress for my boobs not to be emphasized at least some of the time.

Totally.

Yes, I totally meant evolutionary psychology, not biology. Almost all of the evolutionary psychology that I've read about has to do with sex and sexuality, and seems follow very shaky circular logic, and is sometimes just plain old racist or ethnocentric. Of course maybe that's because all that I've heard of or read

That's the one I was thinking of. Sorry!

I really don't understand why that is considered a real science. I'm sure there's a good reason; I am just not aware of it.

Jeez, it's almost as though you have a heart or something.

I have cut off contact with my father for emotional abuse throughout my childhood, and one of my brothers for the emotional abuse and constant litigation against his ex-wife. It can be problematic at holidays if I am at a relative's house and they are there, but for the most part I'm much happier not having to deal

Angela? Are you and Dwight getting back together?

Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I think this is a great response. It is an effort to directly address the problem in a way that makes women feel safer, provides jobs to women, and is a step in the right direction. Of course it's not going to solve everything in one fell stroke, but what would? This is a challenge

I'm so glad that you cleared this up for me. I had looked up Ellen McLain's bio on IMDB at least three times, trying to find her credit for this movie, and had convinced myself that I was just hearing things.

It's about time. It's too bad that the military won't retroactively reimburse women who have had to pay their own money for abortions, or who have kids to raise and put through college because they didn't have another choice.

I'm trying to understand your argument here: You're saying that I'm offending an international audience who often don't even understand the depth my insult to them because they don't know anything about feminism. Is that about right?
