Looking forward to see if Tomica releases a casting of this :)

Actually... Mike from Stanceworks is planning on using it in Global Time-Attack races. Mike has built a few crazy rigs and uses them all much more than for Youtube clicks.

How is it a waste? It’s his car and he seems to be having a great time with it. That’s the best use of a car I can think of. And it ain’t exactly an F40, either.

Kudos for sticking to the Ferrari convention and calling it a Ferrari 244 GT(X) The X should be “B” or “S”, but the “K” is a nod to the Honda engine.

I don’t think Kyle is saying the sound of a car doesn’t matter. I think he’s saying that this one sounds different than the original engine doesn’t matter.

About a decade ago an acquaintance of mine in Austin bought a decent Ferrari 308 - which ran for about a week before catastrophic engine failure. Replacement engines were blindingly expensive and as he’s handy with engineering and fab work he yoinked the bad engine and installed a Honda H22 engine + transaxle from a

I like cars and couldn’t care less about the sound (except when it’s some douche who deliberately made their car/bike louder). What matters is if it’s fun to drive. So not literally everyone.

Id do anything for one of those..has to be IMO one of the best looking cars out there

You are doing the Lord’s work, brother. Strive!

I believe the Volvo C30 was supposed to pay homage to the P1800ES, especially at the rear. The C30 ended up looking quite a bit less sleek and more bulbous, but was still a handsome little hatchback.

I absolutely could not afford this Benz when it was new. $75,000 in 1987 for this 560SEC. Got it for $5,000 about 5 years ago! Now my task is to find parts to keep it running!!

I didn’t have any sympathy for her to begin with, but this kinda just seals the deal.

What gets me is it’s not just a group that’s anti-abortion, it’s one that specializes in really shitty emotional manipulation based on the tiniest sliver of truth, if any at all.

Yeah, I’m sure the company is still bad. But probably not “force ten year old rape victims to have a baby” bad.

This pretty much, I didn’t really bother with the drama, but I generally raise an eyebrow at nonsense like the company responded with. My benefit of the doubt only extends so far though, and when you use it to do something else bad it tends to pull it towards dubiety.

Welp, there goes any sympathy I had.

This is the prime example of “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”

Dying from the challenge would be if the owner came out and shot them, or if the hack caused the car to lock all the doors and catch fire. They died from crashing a stolen car.

Stealing someone’s car is not a “challenge”, it’s a crime.

What a really great story, thanks for sharing. Also, doing the math, that’s a mid-1990s Maxima, which is still such a great car.
