I mean, welcome to a Bryan Fuller creation? Create damaged female character with male name, continue damaging, quit before the first season finishes, watch new writers suffer.

I think the biggest problem with Discovery is that Michael Burnham is a fundamentally broken character. Sonequa Martin Green is doing her best with the material she’s been given but even she can’t save the show from some god awful writing.
when rich people hear that we want everyone to get equal access to healthcare, they naturally assume that means they’ll have to suffer the way we do, because they know that their extreme wealth depends fundamentally on our poverty

Fact: Soda takes years off your life.
I'm listening to a great podcast about this at the moment-Uncover: Escaping NXIVM. It's based around interviews with a woman who spent 12 years as a high level member of both NXIVM and DOS.
Hi, film historian, you’d be surprised, shocked, possibly disgusted by how much TV and movie content generally from the post-studio system, 70s to today, rips shit often verbatim or scene by scene from content from the 60s (70sish for TV) and prior.
He’s still Hellguy to me.
James Gunn seems like a stand-up kind of guy. I can’t imagine that he wouldn’t give The Suicide Squad his full attention through its completion. It’s probably because Warner/DC swiftly hired him with no negative public outcry that Marvel/Disney likely turned around and said to itself, “wait, why did we fire that guy?”…
It’s an overused sentiment, but the Russos are treasures. This has to be part of the reason why their ensemble cast movies work so well.
“Superman IV: A Quest For Peace, a film whose failure pretty much killed superhero movies for a solid decade or so.”
They don’t get that Spock has a slight bemusement about everything, no matter how dire the situation. It was a brilliant choice by Nimoy to portray an emotionless character and still be likeable.
Yeah, not a fan of what they’re doing with Spock, but I’m mostly annoyed that when we finally find out who Airiam is, they kill her off.
So if they have Tilly wearing one of those, does that make her Skant-Tilly clad?
The people here don’t know what SJW are so they just assume anyone that hates SJW are right wing nazi’s or something.
I think you’ve said it about as right as it could be said. I’m not 100% which movie/show (Training Day, maybe?) it was, but the statement was something like “If you’re not police, you’re little people.” Too often, it seems like it goes PD first, then people with money, and on down through the various layers of…
When I saw this the first time around on Monday, I only had one sentiment:
Fuller sounds like a pain, honestly. He’s walked away from CBS, Showtime and now Starz. As the old adage goes, if everyone else is the asshole maybe it’s you, bud.
Well, if Gaiman wasn’t happy with them I’m glad they’re gone. As much as I love Fuller I trust Gaiman on this more.
