@formula420: You might get a kick outta this: a friend of mine happened to see them as they were leaving the area I was in (he was just coming home, so he didn't know what happened), he saw them drop the gun, and noted that it was one of those airsoft pistols with the orange tip broken off. They didn't make a big deal

@etaylor3971: I did! We were so excited to see that we'd located the phone.......... to within a mile radius. Low quality tracker or something. Other than that, I had nothing on the phone I was worried about losing/them-finding. They can look at my pictures of crazy cartoons all they want.

@bleuiko!: I have! It made for an awesome parallel to what happened on my end! Good book, btw.

Epic tale awaits:

STOP DROP AND ROLL!! you're doing it wrong!

DANG! Those waves are like "imma destroy your house," and that gull is like "imma destroy you."

The Oscar award weighs more than that bike. Current-gen video game consoles (I think) weigh more than that. Six pounds is crazy.

Coming from a person who does 3D animation... it's a tool that meant to be used responsibly.

I think giving robots the ability to lie is a perfectly fine idea.

@origosis: Good point! I don't know what the equivalent of calmly telling people what they did wrong would be, AND I agree with the ruling (inasmuch as we can't keep treating digital media in the same way as physical media) but there has to be a middle ground somewhere.

This would be a big hit at my former art school... Sometimes I miss that place, aaaand sometimes I don't...

I'll never use Google instant, for one reason and one reason only. Bandwidth.

@Dr. Brown is not a real doctor.: Back up a minute! You're telling me Aladdin was Chinese?! I thought I knew relatively much about Aladdin, (I know... having seen 'The Adventures of Prince Achmed' doesn't exactly qualify me as an expert on Aladdin's origins, but I figured it counted for something)

@Yayuhzz: gotcha. So it's not a cheeky reference to anything outside the game universe?

Did Red Dead Redemption win second place for something? Or did it win first place, and this is a kind of 'shot-in-the-arm' to whatever game came in second place? Or am I looking too far into it?
