I dunno, our cottage is fairly south -near Ottawa/Gatineau- and the mosquitoes there are horrible as well.. where are they not hell in the whole country (aside from the Eastern Townships of Québec where there are no mosquitos for some godly reason)?

Puppies really are so much work! Kittens are work too- when we adopted our last kitten, I was finishing a grad school session and I cried myself to sleep for a while. Then I got a quarter coin-sized cold sore. Oy vey, it was all too much lol

I noticed this week that one of my local pharmacies (the kind of low market one that has no nice cosmetics but really good-priced toilet paper) keeps a chained pair of scissors on top of its stack of flyers near the entrance. Isn't that kind of sweet?

That SKIRT. I love it. In all fairness, I love anything linen but this is really fun... I would have never minded the kimono top, I feel like it's kind of one or the other. The colour of those shoes is in my top 5 fav colours.

I’m not a sweaty babe but I’m a total oily-faced babe in the summer. I got this expensive sun protection that of course makes me extra-oily when I’m also wearing foundation so this summer, I’m just doing sun protection and bronzer. The lazy summer look!

I’m the exact opposite! I was born waaay up north near Labrador, Canada in the dead of winter (during a snowstrom to boot) and I never really adapted to muggy, hot weather. I don’t sweat that much and when it’s hot and humid out, anything over 78 really, I get crabby, sluggish, uncomfortable and generally miserable.…
