Silly me. I was under the impression that if the Constitution specifically referred to something as a right, then it was considered a right under US law. Clearly that’s crazy talk.

Don’t forget that there have been a whole lot of instances with people mistakenly being on the list, with no way to appeal or even find out why. Senator Ted Kennedy was on the list at one point.

Not to mention that he now probably has a pair of pants that don’t go with anything. It’s not like you can just get a new jacket- The pants have already been dry cleaned and they’ll be a slightly different shade now. These are serious consequences to deal with long term.
Look- It’s one thing to get raped or made to kill someone, you can bounce back from that- But this guy is probably never going to see that jacket again. Do you even know how many people you need to screw on shady business deals to afford a jacket like that in the first place? Try to understand his pain!
