Yeah, nothing pisses me off more than seeing people reward assholes for being assholes.

Because nothing says credibility and respect like citing Ann Coulter.

I agree with you that that is often the case. In fact, I'd wager that a fair amount of the time, it's not even to make themselves feel better, but just to make them look better. I just don't agree that it's always the case.

I call bullshit. Open Carry Texas walks through high traffic areas brandishing military-grade rifles (not just carrying, but brandishing) and the police don't say a word. James Egan Holmes shoots 82 people in a theatre and gets arrested peacefully, despite being armed to the teeth and outfitted with tactical armor. Her

To be fair, making it about ourselves is what people do. If someone is raising money for cancer research instead of AIDS, there's a 95% chance it's because cancer has affected them somehow, and AIDS hasn't.

Exactly. The hormonal emotional thing is universal- We’ve all been there and lived through it. But you guys literally live in a different world than we grew up in, and there are a whole lot of people who don’t understand that.

I’ve met 15 year olds that were more responsible and capable than some 50 year olds I know.

And it never goes away. Back when we fucked up something, it was eventually forgotten. Unless it involved a felony, you could live stuff down and then pretend it never happened. Now, every word you type, every picture of you, every time you click that “like” button, those are floating around the internet forever.

Well, to be fair, we’re kind of in the middle of a Toffler wave. We don’t have any idea what it’s like to grow up in this world- Because we literally grew up in a different one.

Dolan’s rule: The tenacity with which a song sticks in your head is directly proportional to how inappropriate or embarrassing it would be to sing in mixed company.

That right there was why I enlisted in the USAF. I saw a refueling plane on TV when I was young, and thought it was just the coolest damned thing ever.

My friend used to donate $5 every year to some police charity, and they'd send her a sticker that looked like a little badge with the year on it. She had a line of about 8 of them up the side of her rear window.

That's the problem, that we're looking at dollar amounts instead of real-world metrics. I did a long blog post a few months ago about it, but here's my basic definitions, which I think are pretty accurate. Once you actually plug numbers into them, though, things look pretty grim.

I have a theory that he's already finished the entire series, and is just fucking with people.

There is no reason for Oklahoma or any state to be involved in marriage.

Nobody ever seriously discusses the music of Charles Manson.
Nobody ever brings up Adolf Hitler the artist.
Nobody thinks about the joy and laughter that John Wayne Gacy brought to children when he worked as a birthday clown.
