As an architect, I would like to say that this isn’t true. I spend the duration of construction justifying decisions made during design.  I can’t count the times a client has come to me with regrets after pulling out scope, only to later decide that we were right in the first place.

A manometer measures pressure.  I would assume that this is measuring barometric pressure, to predict the acid rain storms that are coming.

The Palatov car in the headline picture even has one of those AEM controllers and dash!

I’m more excited to see that ‘Death’ is up for sale. That is the one car build that I will never forget following online. At the time I didn’t even like VWs.

My brother and I drove a brown Chrysler Laser in high school. That car was so “almost cool” it was hilarious. It talked, had super comfy seats, and when you put all the seats down made a surprisingly large place to lay down.

I bought the Chevy Colorado in its first year in the US and never regretted it.  Every year after the truck came out it got more and more added doodads, but nothing of any significant value.  My truck was great because it was simple.  No body side mouldings,  or unneccesary flares on the arches.  Just nice clean

We’re making baby steps. I love this it is at least this viable now. In a decade hopefully this article will be a humorous look on emerging technology. A decade ago this would have been much more like science fiction.

I just bought a ‘15 Leaf. It isn’t an issue for me that the range is less when the temperature is low. I took that into account when I bought it. It doesn’t get very cold here in the Pacific Northwest, and I don’t drive that far each day.  I preheat the car as it doesn’t use the battery to heat when it is on the

Worst. Superhero. Ever.

I have a yellow ‘77 that was the only car my wife and I had for a couple years.  That car was my daily, and I loved it.  I even brought home the Christmas tree on top.  (Right before I replaced the top)

Once something has sat so long, your best friend is a thorough plan. I have an MG that has been sitting, and my motivation is a really good to do list.

My Car2Go and Zipcar memberships come with insurance. They manage it by declining people who don’t meet a certain threshold of good driver behavior.  It’s worked for years, so I don’t know why it wouldn’t work for this new setup.

And with #8, negotiating the price for the car can be so much more fun!

This is a cool idea! If more of the lateral loads of cornering could be done with jets, tires would not have to be as wide. Thinner tires would allow higher gas mileage by reducing drag friction. The reduced amount of brake friction from less tire would have to be balanced with front facing jets.

Adam drove the car from Seattle to Portland for the ipd garage sale. It looked really great, and won best in show. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a car with that many non volvo modifications do so well. It’s that great.

He did. From Aluminum. It’s pretty unreal.

Holy Moly!

In 1992 a friend of my Father-in-law set a land speed record in a S600 at Bonneville. He figured out nobody owned the record for a stock small bore convertible, bought this car fixed it up and set the record.

Kennewick, Washington, gets 8 inches of rain per year. Snowfall is 3 inches. The number of days with any measurable precipitation is 30.

I’ll still never forgive TopGear for destroying the Furai concept. This is sad and dumb, but the loss of the Furai was a damn shame.
