I have dabbled in cars like this all my life. Looks like it started life in Pale Primrose, a proper British color that is a pale yellow, and it was repainted a brighter yellow in the not too distant past. This gives me pause as a cheap new coat of paint often hides all sorts of horrors underneath.

My parent’s new fully loaded Outback has some of that tech in it and it’s complete garbage. You cant even physically move your head to check a blind spot without it getting pissed. The worst is when you have to stare at the jumbo infotainment to figure out the AC and it goes off.

when I took the alternator to the auto parts store and told them I needed just a new voltage regulator, they took the whole thing and chucked it in the back. They said they didn’t replace that part on its own, and would replace the whole alternator instead. Fine, O’Reilly’s, you do you. But it struck me as odd.
