You absolutely need to be introduced to the Instagram feed of Iceland car culture. There is so much of this feed that screams to be introduced to my garage, even though I could never use it. https://www.instagram.com/icelandcarculture/

It’s not really like a few bolt on performance upgrades are going to make a super car much faster and better handling than it started out. I would say they are just as likely to hurt performance if they try to “upgrade” it. In this case, it’s probably smart to leave them stock.

Watching that video, I have questions. Everything just turns to shards! But seriously, do they even attach that battery to anything? It comes flying out of the front of the car. It looks like the terminal is taped off, so maybe it was loose in there? That could kill a nearby pedestrian! What a way to go!

Years ago when I was just getting into working on cars a good friend convinced me to buy a MG midget. The car had been sitting, but was complete and $500. He taught me how to do some basic maintenance, and after a few struggles, we got it roadworthy. We did some cooling work, brakes, and set the carb float. I

850 miles round trip, Portland to Boise and back.

Confirmed. I did take German. Strength = Kraft Joy=Freude

The insanity as I see it, is that emissions testing is required for all cars newer than 1975. Why make this a rolling 20 years? Mine is great transportation, and is parked right next to my currently disassembled MG midget. Ironically, my Volvo was originally white with a red

This is downtown Portland, Oregon. Home of the hipster. The brick building is the KOIN tower, home to a TV channel and some really expensive condos.

This is one of the many reasons that I would like to buy a Palatov Motorsport D2. http://dpcars.net/ Not only is it made, designed, and marketed in America, it is made in Portland several miles from my house.

Boring and Eagle Creek are both separate places, that happen to be near each other. Somebody is missing a dash or a comma.

My favorite magnetic fields is Book of Love. Great song, really.

This post would make a wonderful children's book.

I have the British Motors of Monterrey licence plate frame on my '77 MG. It's cool.

I've always wanted to play this song, while making the drive you are making...

A friend of the family has one of these. He took it down to Bonneville in 1992 and set a speed record for a stock car with a tiny engine. It was awesome.
