The battle system seems a little gimmicky, but it at least kind of looks like a return to the more RPG stuff of older Paper Mario games. I remember avoiding every battle in Sticker Star and Color Splash because it just felt like you were wasting your cards/stickers and time for pretty much nothing in return.

Let the record show that I will be purchasing this game, and nobody can stop me.
