I keep my Mazda switchblade key in the tiny little useless pocket on the right. You know, the one no one uses for anything because its too small for its original purpose of holding pocket watches? Yeah, thats where my car key goes. Its just the right size I can put my key in and there’s not enough room for it to open

Everything is made in such massive volumes and there are so many speculators that there are no one-of-ones or limited/low production cars to collect’

My last car was a 98 Stratus ES, and I couldn’t agree with you more. The 2.5 V6 was grossly underpowered, and the light metallic green on mine was the last color I’d have ever chosen (would’ve loved the dark metallic green), the interior was incredibly well laid out and comfortable. Everything was right where you

2013 Mazdaspeed3.  I’ve owned the car for 11 years, and I absolutely love the thing.  Its still so much fun to drive and I still stare back at it every time I get out. But dammit I hate the digital gas gauge.  Four segments of three blocks.  So when you’re down to that last block it really is guess work how much you

90s Chrysler is why I was a fan of theirs for so long.  What they were doing may not have been good, but at least they were trying something interesting.  Nowadays you couldn’t pay me to own a Chrysler product, but back then they had some wild looking cars for the era

Actually, I talked my wife into one, and now that she has one she swears she won’t have anything else

The spartan interior of the WRX is the #1 reason I went with the Mazda. The MS3 may not be the fastest, but it combines what comfort a compact can offer with enough power to be dangerous if you aren’t careful, and a lot of fun if you know how to handle it. Of course, the shitty roads around here have ruined my

*repeats the video* protection from what?  Either way that engine made its way into the passenger compartment

My personal daily is my Mazdaspeed3, which I love to death, but at the same time sometimes its nice to be able to take my wife’s Odyssey out for a quick errand instead of deal with the hassle of everyone on the road trying to race me.  I don’t care what anyone says, minivans are awesome

Everytime I hear this I pull up the 59 Bel Air vs the 09 Malibu front quarter crash test on Youtube.  Shuts them up with the quickness.

This right here.  My daily is a hot hatch, but I commute that fucker.  Its just sometimes I let it rip on an onramp or at a redlight (within legal limits).  But I still look at workaday cars and think it’d be nice to have one of those to do the job my current car is doing just fine, because that regular car would do

I had a used Saturn as my second car, best car I’d ever owned untill my Mazdaspeed3.  If I’d known then that I’d have this job within a year of losing the Saturn I’d have kept it parked until I could afford the fix :(

You’re probably right, its been 11 years.  I still love my 3, but I think I’d have loved a punchy 5 a little more

Ya’ll, the answer is simple. Mazdaspeed5

My family briefly had 2 of these in the late 90s, both 85s, one auto, one manual. The dashboard on the manual included a tachometer on the left, speedometer on the right, and 4 status light bars down the center. Third one from the top was the Shift light, letting you know to change gears if you’re new to manual

My first car, a 1988 Plymouth Horizon.  0-60...eventually...at first.  By the time I gave up on it the damn thing wouldn’t top 55 if it wasn’t going downhill.  Unremarkable styling, general lack of features (could be had with a factory CD player, but mine wasn’t).  Separate key to open the hatch, no interior release

Buick Regal TourX- What can I say, I love a good long roof and GM built a stunner here. Unfortunately it fell just outside my price range of I Want It But I Don’t Need It so now I can’t get one

Still daily driving a 2013 Mazdaspeed3 in Velocity Red Mica.  Best car I’ve ever owned

Why does it look like a late model Suburban?

I’ve noticed. My last car was a first generation Stratus sedan (admittedly a larger car), but I could fold down the rear bench and that car would swallow a 6' A Frame ladder and the trunk would close on it.  My MS3 has the back end full of one toolbag and a bunch of loose network cables.  Its the only instance where
