It sure is a legitimate criticism.  Snyder must have read about shallow focus in some back issue of American Cinematographer and just went all-in on it.

By that point in the movie, after 2 hours and 25 minutes, was anyone even paying attention to the out of focus stuff?  I know i was trying to ignore that it existed!

It was pretty clearly pointed out by the safe cracking team.  He (I forget his name, the dude with the massive cutter) specifically mentions it then it focuses on several corpses of the prior teams, all wearing the same exact outfits of the people trying to break in now.  Down to the jewelry.

Honestly, no one should have survived that crash.  I doubt she made it.

The daughter is in the top tier of dumbest characters I’ve ever seen in a zombie movie.  It was bonkers.

but billionaire tanaka’s plan was to get the zombie head right? The money didn’t matter. So why not just hire the team to do that?

Sooooo much of Army of the Dead can be summed up as, “Plus, it was done better in [better movie X] anyway.”

The baby part wasn’t necessary at all. Zombies shouldn’t need that kind of motivation to kill.  Plus, it was done better in Dawn of the Dead anyway.

Sean Spicer has a cameo. It isn’t long, but I bailed on the movie at that point. Normalizing Spicer, after he worked for that monster, Trump, is not something I am willing to do. Zach Snyder can buzz off with that shit.
