Something to keep in mind is that this movie (appears to) make no pretense about being anything more than the acid fueled dream of a 4 year old. For that alone it appears to a a certain level of self awareness that so many of the crap movies that come out don’t.

On the other hand, I think this is exactly what movies need and have forgotten: a little bit of, y’know, fun. A touch of whimsy.
