Production team won’t change anything. Rockstar had a production team and their job was to mainly tell you, “Work on this scene first before the other ones.”

I am so offended by the Red Dead Redemption credits, like, if I was in a terrible mood I would be boiling right now. Specifically, the R* NYC credits.
A few things:
Guys, I have to update this comment one year later. Turns out, I LOVE Cities: Skylines and it is now my personal Game of the Year with the campus life DLC. Although I’ve only spent 187 hours with it, those hours were made from 11pm thinking I would play for 2 hours, to 7am. Yikes!
I am actually loving the new CoD maps and am glad they went away from the three lanes matches. I am, an older gamer, and by older I mean mid thirties. In previous COD game it was impossible for me to keep up with the competition. When it comes to twitch reflexes and speed, I can’t compete with these young kids.
Can confirm, cinematics play just fine from the cinematics menu under campaign. As long as you’re not preloading shaders, the cutscenes will play without stuttering.
To answer why you had to create an Activision account.
For the third person.
I wish all the readers who write in to the blog would post their follow ups. It doesn’t even have to be for advice, we just want to know HOW IT TURNED OUT! That’s the part I hate about advice columns. You never know how it ended.
From my impressions of Phil Spencer over the years (in articles). I think he is one of the few executives that truly understands gamers. He’s making smart moves that are pushing things forward rather than holding them back. I would love to know what he does to get the pulse of the gaming community.
I never said free things would create a better work culture. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have left.
To be clear, I don’t meant to imply that R* offered drugs. They didn’t and never did. The employees acquired the drugs on their own and only offered to fellow employees who were interested in participating.
Milestone means that a significant piece of the game has been completed and is playable from start to finish. Generally, these milestones are used to let the higher ups know how far along the game is.
I feel confident that they’ll still pay for tons of food. I’m hoping they’re also still continuing to do birthday lunch in NYC. I do not recall them having an open bar though, unless it was a party. Otherwise, it was usually one of the leads footing the bill for alcohol.
Longer than 8 hours, bud. If the higher ups wanted a playable build, then all your work better be in before the milestone. Weekends too.
I did work at R* for a time but I couldn’t contribute to the story. Anything that happened in San Diego generally stayed in San Diego. The NYC office didn’t really know what was going on unless a San Diego transplant was keeping in touch with the crew out west.
Maybe I’m dense, but I don’t think ASS is being an ASS. (Please consider what your anonymous acronyms will spell in the blog, kids.)
You can replace the word Bioware with Rockstar and get the same result. They also count on that “Rockstar Magic” as the game enters the final months of polish.
DIDN’T PLAY BLOOD MONEY? Sir, you’ve missed out on the best Hitman game prior to next-gen transition. I too, played and completed the original games. But Hitman Blood Money was definitely the cream of the crop.
Damn it. I knew I should have spell checked before posting!
