What scam is this guy running now?
Aside from lavish visuals, which admittedly are VERY interesting and pretty to look at, Thor 4 is creatively bankrupt. There’s no real advance from what Ragnarok did; in fact in a lot of ways it hits all the same beats as Ragnarok, all over again, but with Russell Crowe talking about orgies instead of Jeff Goldblum…
They should really learn from Christopher Eccleston and just actively, openly hate everything about the big franchise they were a part of and always bring it up. We need more actors openly hating their jobs.
“The planet isn’t thanking anyone who drives a car.”
Someone is also going to have to explain to me then why I keep hearing over and over again that card readers and touchscreens at charging stations are so frequently broken, when the equivalent equipment on gas pumps have been working for, oh let’s just say a real long damn time now.
The planet isn’t thanking anyone who drives a car. The environmental cost to manufacture your EV, mine the minerals for the battery, generate the power to charge it, and ultimately dispose of it, is still enormous.
This is what he should've been doing for a very long time.
Someone’s gonna have to explain to me why charging stations don’t just have card readers on them and charge by the kilowatt.
Nah, he just caps your maximum energy draw at 69kW and no more than 420kWh lifetime.
If you pull up in a non-Tesla, I assume Elon slouches in the corner tweeting furious weed memes in your general direction (and wondering how come you can’t see them)...
As someone who has never used an EV charger, I’m shocked to learn they don’t just have card readers like gas pumps. I assumed they did because that just seems logical. You really have to download yet another godforsaken app to use a charger??? I understand maybe making an app payment an option (I love using Apple pay…
Yeah... I fucking hate charging my EV when not at my home... Aside from Electrify America (most of their stations are along interstates or in cities) and tesla superchargers (same thing) that’s worked reliably, there’s like 10+ different charging apps that’s mostly not interoperable and requires NFC shit to work....
Even if Jimnys aren’t quite a rare as imports, mine still gets a ton of stares up here in Canada. Love talking about it at meets.
There is such a wave of this style of JDM wonderfulness coming over thanks to the 25 year rule. I got a Nissan S-Cargo, a pretty exceptionally rare care, for almost nothing. Nothing beats the double takes that thing gets.
“Andrew and Nikki Le, who ordered 11 VinFast cars, took delivery of the first of those at the store.”
You absolutely can, I got a 2010 with 165k miles for 15 even, albeit that was right before Covid kicked off.
Bizarre. He could have just said “I know what I have” like everyone else..
Three-time 4Runner owner here. Yes, they run a long time but a 1990 with 150,000 miles on the clock is not “just getting started in life”. A 2015 with 150,000 miles maybe, but not a 33-year-old truck. It’s like saying a 69-year-old man is just getting started in life because he hasn’t traveled much.
I can get lots of nights at the Hilton for this price ND
