Absolutely. No one should be arguing that the customers deserve their money back (they bought the books knowing the series wasn't yet finished), and obviously no one can force Martin to finish, but he made a commitment and sold the first books on the basis of that promise. He made it of his own free will: Banks and

I did think it was weird that Bleeding Cool was citing Levine's change of heart to back up the evidence of the shipping manifest, while Levine said he changed his mind because of... the shipping manifest.

Whatever happened to the medium budget film?

Is the 3D any good at home, though?

Absolutely. Routh was good as Superman and great as Clark. But he really shines as a villain. Todd Ingram was fantastic, and he did a fantastic heel turn on Chuck. A really, really underrated actor.

That is a great flag, and it's the off-centredness that does a lot of the work again.

Exactly my feelings.

I loved that too (and contrary to some comments on this thread am very well aware of that). To be fair, Wales has its own utterly awesome flag which is too awesome to fit even in the Union Jack. Having said that, if Scotland does leave the union, I'd want the blue replaced with green to give the Welsh their due.

Yeah. I love that. I also like the fact that the flag's been reclaimed somewhat. I didn't like it for a long time because of its Orange/BNP connotations. One good thing came out of the 90s Cool Britannia bubble, I guess.

That's a commonly believed myth, actually. The names are interchangeable.

The Governor-General of India one is pretty great, but the Union Jack is just fantastic by itself - it's the slightly off-centre red diagonals that really make it for me:

They're all, with the exception of The Lion Heart, real pub names, and a few (The Famous Cock, Intrepid Fox and World's End) famous London landmarks:

Frankly, he was pretty nice to stop selling them.

Really? You think that someone who isn't a white guy is equivalent to "someone who is Black, female, gay, disabled semi retarded and a dwarf"? That says a lot about you.

If they're going for the white guy again, then they couldn't pick much better.

Yeah, the trailer has been making me nervous about the line deliveries too. Denisof in particular sounds stilted. But it's been getting good reviews (although often from reviewers who adopt a cooler-than-thou tone about Shakespeare and past productions), so hopefully it's just a function of the editing.

Exactly. Routh was pretty great in the role, even though it was basically a retread of Reeves's (and that's Singer's fault). Since then he's been especially strong as a villain, as in Chuck and Scott Pilgrim.

I'm still excited for this and the humour in yesterday's clip with Superman and Lois made me think Henry Cavill might just be able to stand next to Reeve with a recognisably different take on the character, but... the special effects at 1:27-28 look decidedly dodgy.
