And you might want to read the conversation before showing yours. Not talking about Brown. Mike Pipper posted a link to a kid stealing a cops gun and them tackling him instead of shooting him. Thanks for playing though.

I feel that it was brave of them to attempt to subdue that kid with out blood shed. But there was a decent chance that it could have went worse and an innocent person could have accidentally gotten shot (I've seen semi-auto guns where a decent bump will cause the firing pin to slide home). It's one of those (to me)

I don't know how much I believe that (that they got scared).A few reasons.

She might believe his story (more or less that it was self defense). I mean (and I don't know how connected she is to the Ferguson police force) a bunch of them wore those little stretchy bracelets in support of Wilson, so it's a fair assumption at least some people believed his side of the story (or the one put forth

I was talking about the event that Mike Pipper brought up where two officer tackle a kid who took the one's gun and such. Not to be rude but how about reading the comment mine responded to before making an assumption that I'm talking about Mike Brown (at least one my statement doesn't match any of the info that's been

Even assuming all of that is true (which I believe it is) I still think police shootings should be investigated more. They should collect a lot of data (race of both parties, age, some more victim details, maybe area details, statements from witnesses and police) and put that shit in a DB so it can be easily analyzed.

I bruise hard. And maybe Brown did swing hit him. But the fatal shot seems to have been at over 100 feet. If Mike had died closer I would be more willing to believe he didn't have a choice (the lying or inaccuracies don't help his believability) I think a trial was deserved for it.

I meant the kid that we have the picture of being tackled not Mike Brown. I have no clue what happened there.

Very mature of you folks.

I tried, including explaining why a grand jury seems unnecessary (most people don't get them before hand). Even going as far to point out that most trials are built (and many defendants win) on less. So to summarize: why such a high standard to go to trial, and he would have quite possibly won (a number of the

I think that she is a fellow police officer so maybe they had a relation ship before hand? I doubt that he was out at to many bars while in hiding.

ROFL

I would have shot that kid. Assuming the story is all true. He took a cops gun, I would say that it was irresponsible not to have shot him (as taking the extra time could have cost an innocent bystander their life) the other officer should have shot the little thug.

Maybe setting up for conjugal visits. :P

" "across the board" doesn't work on these two levels" sure it does. The board might just have a shaky leg. :P

Fair points.

Actually if they take federal funding that would be illegal as well (the most recent violence against women bill says shelters taking federal funds can't discriminate based on sex or gender). The exception being that they are allowed to provide separate support if they feel it's necessary to segregate based on sex.

a) I didn't say I thought she had done anything wrong. I said these were things she caught flack for.

Ah. I didn't think of that (happy hour just started for me).

Not to nit pick. But do you mean "or felt anything like a piece of trash" or "or felt anything but like a piece of trash". I ask because the second seems to line up better with the rest of your statement and I'm interested in how laws and police work in Canada.
