Cops often let kids go for things they might prosecute or further investigate adults for.

That's adorable (the kid in the still for the video).

She asked if it was about race and he asked (admittedly poorly) why she was bringing up race . Doesn't seem like it's inherently racist, just poorly stated. The correct response would have been "no we had a call about a suspected crime and we are investigating".

Those wouldn't apply in this case. The cops didn't just walk by and decide to ask for ID. They were called for a (seemingly bogus) "crime". Which isn't a "papers please" action but rather an investigation into a reported crime.

Wouldn't having the cops called on you grant cause to treat you like a suspect? I mean regardless on whether the call was valid or not wouldn't they still have the right to detain a suspect for the alleged offence?

Homosexual is the a Latin Greek mix for gay (Homo is from the Greek word for same and sexual from the Latin sexus meaning sex). It's shortened for usability. Though I suppose Mishomoseuality ( or some such (I don't know the Greek word for sex or the Latin words for same or hatred))would be more accurate in most cases

If sexuality is fluid enough to be a social construct than it isn't the way that someone is born. Which seems to be the current scientific opinion on it.

Your subconscious may control the production a number of hormones that your brain produces but your brain doesn't produce all hormones in your body. Additionally I assume that a fetus doesn't control the hormones that it's mother produces.

Science is a lot less clear cut than that though. Biology, chemistry, so your hard sciences have centuries of study and application. Psychology and sociology have much less time as applied science and much more as being more or less branches of philosophy.

I never really got the striking homosexuality from the DSM (other than a bunch of Doctors said that it wasn't a disorder so it isn't). Probably because I have a flawed view on what constitutes a disorder. If we assume has to be something that deviates from the norm (in that it is statistically rare) and causes social

"In the words of Rebecca Campbell, a psychology professor at Michigan State, "If you have a property crime, they don't say: 'Would you like me to dust for fingerprints? Would you like me to canvass the area for witnesses?'"

Thanks for the reviews. I might actually have to check out Utena (as before your summary most others had turned me off of it).

That is true. And if you are a fan of mandated health insurance requirements than this isn't great. Though it does still have benefits, most of them are less concrete.

Kind of. Wasn't the GOP really against birth control at all. I thought a large portion consider it to be abortive. So this would arguably be a step forward. Since they either need to recognize that it doesn't cause abortions or change their views on abortion. So this would indeed be different than their old views

I get that it's a ploy. But I think it will last long enough that it won't matter. As it will attract members who agree with this position on it. And as those numbers increase it won't matter why they started spouting it.

Hey. Admitting that it isn't bad is a start. But the GOP is fiscally conservative and extremely (to a point at least) free market. So in general are going to be against public medical care (or anything that seems to raise taxes) or telling a business what to do. Though they'll probably continue to change their

They're against public medical care. Not exactly new for them. But being ok that BC is sold is a new thing.

Enough time and I doubt they'll know whether they meant it or not. Heck they can't even remember the more liberal actions that Reagan supported.

Eh. It's a start at least.
