I was so horrified as a child watching this movie, by the time I had my first child I did what a parent should do... I let my child watch it so they could share my horror.

If Obi Wan lives, then there would be no need for Yoda. And he could have mentioned that Luke probably shouldn’t kiss Leia, who Luke’s mother was, and that Anakin was only mostly dead.

I agree with this so much! I mean, if we’re going to accept that Finn can also wield a lightsaber with such competence AND have the best aim of any Stormtrooper to ever exist, then the “Rey as Mary Sue” argument falls incredibly flat.

Even if this film is no good at least it will have a gorgeous aesthetic. Blending the style of Jazz Age New York and the Wizarding World is an inspired decision. I'm looking forward to seeing something different. I'm optimistic about this.

It would be nice to have more than two Leia toys to give to my granddaughters...
