Why do they think that these kinds of statements support the pro-life cause? Every time I read something like this, it always seems to me to be a pro-choice statement. As in, "Isn't it great that you had the right to choose to have your baby, despite what doctors might have been recommending?" (See also, Andrea

I don't know if you caught Before Midnight this summer, but it's a worthy follow-up to Sunrise and Sunset.

That's a really good question. You think it's not a thing; I don't really have an answer right now.

By "it's" I wasn't referring to the blog per se, I was just replying to the OP's accusations of me being judgmental. That wasn't my intention. I was suggesting more of a thought experiment, which the blog might ellicit, if approached in a certain way,

I'm not in any way suggesting men should cross their legs, nor that women shouldn't. I was just suggesting this blog, if nothing else, might prompt some people to think consciously about some previously unchallenged personal notions.

There was no judgment, only questions. It's ok to ask questions.

Take it easy. It's not about judging people, it's about challenging your own notions, which everyone should do every now then. I was only suggesting that this blog might be useful to some people in that capacity. Not you, obviously. [backing away slowly, hands up]

I never said we did. That wasn't the issue I wanted to broach with my post.

No, not exactly. He's not sitting like that with the idea of how he will be perceived, he just sits like that. And the point is we don't think he's a jerk for sitting like that, especially because he's not squeezing anyone out, so who cares? But what is it behind that posture that we all kind of don't think twice

It's not that he's squeezing out someone next to him, it's the psychology behind his body language and how we perceive it. How often do you see women sitting like this? What would you think if you saw a woman sitting like this? What would you think of a man sitting with his legs crossed?

Not a recipe per se, but a tip: Peel and freeze bananas to use as a base to whatever you make. I swear it makes such a difference.

Dylan McDermott v. Dermot Mulroney. Who's who??

We call it a frap.

I'd say this isn't a particularly Asian woman only problem, it's very much Madonna/whore, which is an issue for all women, but I totally understand what you are saying, and it was especially striking in 47 Ronin. It reminded me of the same dynamics seen in The Wolverine (and Yukio is so much cooler than Mariko, let's

"... much?"

I'm a tall, pale, blonde woman in an area that is predominantly shorter and darker. I'm always being thought a tourist or an immigrant in my own city, being offered local food to "try", being asked where I'm from, what my nationality/background is.

Just listening to the snippet of Edelweiss Taran Killam sang on SNL made me wish they had been in the full production. It was actually lovely. Oh, what? It CAN be sung well live?

No he does not clearly want the relationship without calling it one. If he tells you he doesn't want to be your boyfriend, believe him. Once that is stated, some guys think that what they do after doesn't matter because they've clearly stated their (non) intentions, even though that later behavior might be very

You're in a new city, you may want to give yourself a break for not knowing anyone just yet. It doesn't make you a loser.
