The soulless blank stare in that Llama's eyes tells me everything I need to know about that night.
NB4 Sad baristas crying over spilled creamer, and lost jobs.
Yeah I mean that's cute an all but it's not prehensile...
"Call me disabled one more time..."
If I was into guns I'd be more into the thigh holster, dunno why but it's cooler.
Thanks for your perspective, it mirrors what I've been told here. The few people I've known have never agreed on terminology and I'm not as well versed with these communities as I am others.
It's believed to shift the focus onto the individual and away from the affliction. Language is tricky and how it shapes people's perceptions is very subtle. From what I've been told by people with disabilities it seems like a useless distinction unless you have lived with a disability and everywhere you go you're…
A kid who is disabled is a disabled kid. Kids who are disabled are disabled kids. I mean if we want to get technical about it...
This is great and all but I really want a cybernetic prehensile tail. When will they think about my needs?
That's not entirely true. Yes younger brains will heal faster but it's not as though neuroplasticity stops after the 19-22 age mark.
That's because of neuroplasticity. Where as it's true that certain regions of the brain serve specific functions, most regions of the brain are capable of "rewiring" itself so that it can regain lost functionality. (Edit: This formerly implied the entire brain benefits from neuroplasticity, reworded for clarity.)
Not, like, beautiful beautiful. This is a pants on kind of beautiful we're talking about here. But there's something about the way these Ubisoft artists paint them alongside tropical hillsides (or under tropical seas) that's just the best.
Edit:
Meanwhile League of Legends just made a crap ton of money during their Harrowing event.
But look out for her sister, she's crazy!
It just takes time. You will die a lot before you become reasonably competent, and once you become reasonably competent you will also understand just how little you do know about the game.
Actually this is far far less of an issue now. Riot has gone to great lengths to curb the toxicity and promote positive interactions between teammates.
If you can beat the opponent by just overpowering it, then all the complexity and depth becomes meaningless.
