Movies I've seen lately that I liked:

I'm on the verge of canceling the gift part of Christmas and calling it family game day. I despise holiday shopping. But I'm afraid there might be a coup or that I'll scar my children for life when they come downstairs and realize Santa only left 1 present for everyone to share.

Haha! Me too.

Reheating pizza. And then letting some brie sit out for my night cheese. :)

"They come for the atmosphere,"

Having lived in both Ohio (Cincinnati area) and Oklahoma, I endorse this statement.

This is how I reacted to your comment about diabetes.

I'm with you. I can't stand cooked fruit. It's like the food equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. It makes my teeth cringe.

Is that the same as buttermilk pie? That was what my father always wanted at holidays. Is it any wonder he developed Type II diabetes?

I actually have it on my hold list at the library.

Interesting. I'll have to check it out.

No I have not. I'll look for it at the library!

No bodice rippers! I'd love to read a story that has some meaning though. I'm not sure if I would really like a romance or if I just like books where I get really, really absorbed in the mind of the main character.

I end up spending hours at the library looking, not knowing what to pick and then I give up because I've wasted too much time looking instead of just picking something and reading it.

There are some really phenomenal romance writers who get no credit, who couldn't even get a hardback deal.

Oh that Amelia Bedelia.

I took the quiz once too and they weren't interested. I think they only target people who show potentially malleable personality traits.

Same here. Mockingjay was a disappointment. It felt like the end of a TV desperately trying to keep an audience. If you look at this site about 'Jumping the Shark' you can check off a number of these items that Mockingjay did. These are quotes from the site, so they talk about the 'show' but substitute movie and

I can't imagine tying both my personal identity and brand (if I had a brand) to my weight. Imagine the pressure of having to stay thin when your own and other peoples' livelihoods depend on your weight.
