Can I get some confirmations here? I’m hearing that you can’t play split-screen local co-op at all? In other words, if my wife and I both want to play, we’d have to have two Switches? Even if we DID have two consoles, how easy is it to make sure you get in the same on-line lobby?

That’s kind of where I’m at. I’m thinking I may pick up a used 3DS and Metroid, and perhaps the couple other Zelda titles or other things I know of on the 3DS that I would want to play. But it would definitely have to be a “Oh, I got a bonus from work, I’m gonna treat myself” kind of thing, because otherwise, I don’t

I partially disagree. I used the Destiny stand-alone app quite a bit while playing on my Xbox. I would use it for tracking down groups to play with, swapping out inventory, etc. So it got used frequently. I haven’t played as much in the last 6 months or so, so I haven’t got to try Xbox’s new on-board LFG system. But I

Wireless mice that charge via wireless induction through the mouse pad? This is the first application of wireless charging that I find myself genuinely excited about. Too bad I rarely game on a PC anymore! But that’s awesome!

Destiny 1 was in-and-of-itself a really great game though. In the realm of “how many hours of fun do I get for the price I paid”, Destiny far outweighs what I’ve paid for some games over the years.

but I’m one of those rare people who actually enjoyed the wiimote motion controls for aiming and looking around in Prime 3

I LOVE the fact that I saw threads on reddit and such several times over the past weeks/months about whether people would rather see a new 2D or a new 3D Metroid announced. I NEVER expected Nintendo to answer with “You get both!”

I’m so glad I planned to be home for lunch today. I literally yelled at my TV and jumped up from the couch. I did NOT expect that at all. And I’m in the category of people that are actually super pumped about the things Nintendo was already doing. So to add stuff like MP4 on top of it....Man, am I so psyched for the

Agreed! I have a good friend who raves about playing it on his PS4. And my nephew just got it on his XBOX. I hadn’t considered picking it up yet, but if I can play it on the go AND against those people....this just moved into a ‘must have’ slot for me!

Basically, they are trying to offer PC-quality gaming at a lower price point. Sounds reasonable to me for anyone who doesn’t have the time/know-how/money to build themselves a PC that will play games at that level.

Ugh....Gears 4? Really? I’m a huge fan of the series, loved the books and other outside media. Still stoked that they might make a movie some day. But GOW4....ugh. So disappointing. I mean, sure it’s pretty. I’m glad I have an Xbox One S and the appropriate TV set up to enjoy the full 4k effects. But the story sucked

Ugh....I hope they offer a bundle set where the Switch Console itself comes with the Pink/Green controllers. We’re heavily considering picking up a 2nd unit, particularly for things like Mario Kart or Splatoon, but I’d really rather have the pink/green controllers!

Had ours since Launch Day. Don’t even own a Pro Controller. :) Wife and I have put in a combined 250+ hours on Zelda, and I would guess that only 75% of that is docked. Probably only 1-2 hours total in ‘kickstand’ mode though. If we’re playing something with the Joy-Cons detached, or 2 player, it’s typically at home

This sounds along the lines of the large-room events that Paizo’s Pathfinder RPG does every year at GenCon. And those last 4-5 hours. And cost about $10-12. So that certainly sounds a tad disappointing. I was initially frustrated that none of the cities they were doing it in were less 5 hours from me, but now I guess

Still one of my all-time favorite games. And I’m glad to hear Republic Commando get a shout out here. It gets far too little love and recognition. I would gladly have taken a 2nd Commando game instead of Battlefront 2. Granted, it’s looking like they’ve addressed the BF1 issues, but I’m skeptical now. They would have

I can understand that. I haven’t played Witcher 3 myself, only read much about it.

In today’s world, I recommend you compare to the average, not the outlier. It’s well known that Witcher is in a league of it’s own in some areas. Looking at the vast majority of other games out there, my statement stands.

Why? Exactly WHAT quality of life was missing from the game without those features? My wife and I have put over 200 combined hours into the game on our separate play throughs, and not ONCE did it occur to me that these particular features would have saved me some huge amount of annoyance or anything.

This is so awesome.

Could be referring to a squeeze on the profits of the whole program. I remember seeing something that the estimated cost of the Switch was somewhere around $270 to manufacture (plus normal shipping costs, etc., I would assume). If they only shipped a portion of the consoles (say 500,000 of them) by air, then they
