PS3 was stronger than the 360 but most multiplatform games ran better on 360, if marginally. Some more ridiculous examples include Bayonetta.

Not really representative of the whole. I've known people who went through as many as four or five PS2s before it stopped fucking up on them, and I've heard enough issues about it to determine it to be a rather widespread problem.

Comparing technical specs IS meaningless. If it weren't, the PS2 wouldn't have won a landslide victory last gen despite being weaker AND having shitty reliability.
