A trilogy very loosely based on a short book is not what I’d call a great adaptation. It’s like they took an outline of the book’s plot and decided to fabricate 4 hours of Legolas, and get just about else wrong. Maybe if you’ve never read the book, you might be a able to enjoy the money grab.
