Fun Fact- The Emperor has always had no clothes, but it’s fun watching some allegedly smart people finally notice.

That’s the bulk of it. Probably a bit more if she’s gotten word that Scientology is going to declare Danny Suppressive. In that case divorcing him probably helps her standing with the church more than hurts.

She certainly has the clearest picture of what the appeals, civil trial defense, and prison bribes to keep

Similar to what I was thinking. She better be planning not to run again, because as of now her fundraising is probably DOA. She may have new friends in the cloakroom, but I doubt donors are going to trust her and she’ll be lucky if she can even go out in public in her district.

End of the day, his protestations of intent are too little, too late. I personally believe that topic isn’t in-bounds for jokes, and the only time it can be appropriate for storytelling is with clear disclaimers that the account is fictional and all involved have given aware consent. Even ‘back in the day’ of 2014,

Lemon is gay. Why are you assuming it was a female staffer? The block quote clearly implies otherwise.

You don’t think ‘young enough to be his child’ is too much of a gap? Ok.

You say that like they’re not in an industry where their appeal to advertisers is a knife’s edge between moderate success supporting themselves and a couple dozen other people, and being scattered to the four winds. If this were a cynical CYA ploy like David Dobrik, you might have a point, but come on.

Sorry, McCain was a maverick for having positions and sticking to them. She doesn’t deserve to be called one for constantly weaseling out of prior positions or refusing to take a stand until she’s paid enough by one interest or another.

I got a bigger laugh out of ‘appearing in her professional capacity’ nice callback to a few days earlier where she thinks she can work for the WH and the campaign simultaneously and dodge questions about one job by claiming she’s doing the other.

... which I almost said was last week, but it was probably just earlier

I believe you missed the point in that post. I’m almost certain Manitos was referring to Reagan, and the “Probably a Democrat, right?” was sarcasm.

I haven’t seen this one, but it sounds like Kevin Perjurer’s Defunctland episode is still the better choice for learning about ‘Traction’ Park. While lacking interviews, he doesn’t gloss over how haphazard and dangerous the ride design and implementation process was.

I saw some of these videos recently and greatly enjoyed them. I liked the relaxed style and the lyrical turns of phrase were funny.

I never expected them to be authentic, any more than I expect Postmodern Jukebox to be authentic.

I liked the peek into how medieval music ‘worked’ in this article though. It reminded me

Lena Heady would be nearly tied with Swinton in my list.

There were always a lot of people like this in the military, but it’s gotten a lot worse post 9/11. The lowering of admission standards across the board, so  recruiters could meet quota, and the grinding nature of perpetual deployments, became an ongoing source of mentally traumatized vets who probably shouldn’t have

Just posted from the grays that I’d love an ACAB dlc, where he stops abusive police and frees the unjustly imprisoned. Hell, have him expose and take down an entire corporate prison.

My not so secret wish is an ACAB DLC where Miles takes down abusive police and frees unjustly imprisoned folk.

“release it on schedule digitally.”

Yeah, good call. Real smart. How exactly are they going to do that when the people who set up and maintain the servers are under stay-at-home orders as well? There’s only so much of that work they can do remotely, and if problems crop up they won’t necessarily be able or allowed to

Factories and supply chains don’t magically just start up again. It can take weeks to get all the individual pieces in order. On top of that, the companies have to make decisions about the backlog of orders they didn’t produce while they were down.

The virus may have passed by Sept, but you can be damn sure there’s

I wish Tiger King did a slightly better job at pulling in outside observers for input, but it’s still pretty clear in the show that the only people (falsely) equating the zoos and the rescue are the crazy zoo men who are desperate to keep their way of life going.

No one’s hands are clean in this show, I think Baskin

Also this is a catastrophe we saw coming and had time to prepare for.
