You’re confusing innovation/automation waves of the past with our current one. This wave of computer centered automation is very very different in that worker efficiency is skyrocketing at the same time, and the new technologies that replace old ones are not creating anywhere near the same number of jobs to go along…
I suspect that as well, but I only wanted to speak from my experience.
It’s not bad so much as it just doesn’t make sense (in the context of two world leaders talking). It’s the kind of thing you expect your half deaf great grandad to do in order to fill time so he doesn’t have to listen to someone else (and not understand it) nor think of something meaningful to say himself.
Going…
Also the fact that the above clip seemed to end on some kind of air horn that when cut off sounded like the start of a massive shart. That was good too.
I’m certain it will end up being a regional thing for a long time to come. In the south and west where there’s more sunny days and less snow, and where most cities are spread out and designed more around automobiles, it will be easier to work out the kinks. Go driving off highway pretty much anywhere in New England,…
I think Sons of Patriarchy would be a better name.
Yes the first trial is over but since it was a mistrial he wasn’t cleared and isn’t free (free on bail is different). There’s still a presiding judge, and Cosby’s actions and freedoms are under their control. The judge can issue a bench warrant on his own, or the DA can file a motion at any time (and then if the judge…
A judge has fairly wide latitude in restricting a defendant from speaking if they think it will taint the jury pool (public speaking engagements specifically on topics related to his trial would count), just like they can restrict your movements if they feel you’re a flight risk.
I’ll be interested to see if the judge shuts this down, at minimum within the jurisdiction.
On the whole the idea seems insanely bad. This is already going to be a summer of protest, this will be just another opportunity. I’m not sure even if he sells tickets (I suspect most people won’t want him to get money), he’ll…
No way do I feel bad. He sold his soul for months during the campaign before he even worked for the campaign, hoping to get this gig. He knew what he was in for and deserves every minute of it.
I doubt you can come to that conclusion without knowing what sort of insults he shouted, among other things. That being said...
He was a guy in a car who stalked young girls across multiple locations. When they ran, and one fell down he got out of his car, chased her down, killed her with a metal bat, then took her…
I know when I’m driving at 3am on a Sunday the crowds and the noise are INFURIATING. I’m sure there was no way at all he could get around a small group of girls walking on the side of the road. /s
You are loved and welcomed, but please remain vigilant for the small fraction of people who don’t agree with that.
Do you think he made the Chevy Chase noise under his breath?
My only wish is that it did a slightly better job at acknowledging the warts and problems with some games. The Civ VI coverage here was a major disappointment, as it was a major factor in my decision to buy, and yet there are some GLARING problems with the game that barely got mentioned in reviews and follow up…
If she had been standing next to him, or outside the car, saying those things to him in his presence, would she be legally culpable? The answer being almost certainly yes, and knowing that medium doesn’t matter means that she’s legally culpable for saying those things over the internet or in phone calls.
She knew where…
I suppose, but that shouldn’t be what stops them from rendering the verdict. They can go on to recommend a lenient sentence because of his circumstances and do their best to keep him out of jail on those grounds, but letting him go free with jeopardy attached would be misconduct of the first order.
We also had a fox attack a dude this week. Though I will say this sort of thing isn’t that normal. This time of year we worry more about deer and moose driven out of the woods by bugs and onto the roads.
