I was incredibly disappointed to learn that Dr. Prospero Gogo is, in fact, a medical doctor named Prospero Gogo, and his first name is not actually Dr. I feel like he should be disqualified on those grounds, since that makes him at least 75% less ridiculous.

Just a thing about the Zelda theme that I’ve noted with its use in this game: that’s a TERRIBLE name for it, because it is totally Link’s leitmotif now. It subtly creeps into the score every time he does something really heroic. SPOILERS...

I don’t think it’s limited to the Blood Moon. I’m pretty sure the code for time-based events outside of the day/night cycle itself is badly glitched. I’ve had other stuff happen that makes no sense, like:

My breath caught for a second there this afternoon.

Think I might have to set my alarm a little earlier than usual tomorrow. Y’know, just for the hell of it.

Clap-clap.

I see what you did there.

I do not approve.

“These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but that he stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”

It’s easy to cheer for flag and country. It’s

I’m pretty sure the part where he develops magical psychokinetic powers makes it pretty clear that he doesn’t actually suffer from dissociative identity disorder. I mean, if we start using PKE meters as a diagnostic metric for DID, then we might have something to talk about, but...

“I think it’s” [this thing we

I left work early for a doctor’s appointment today, and had to go to my other job at 6:00, so I decided to go watch a movie for the fuck of it to kill time. I heard this was pretty good, so I bought a ticket!

I like the movie! It’s the first Shyamalan movie I’ve enjoyed without heavy qualifications since Signs, I

$130K? What constitutes a mid-level bureaucrat to you?

I... don’t hate this?

I’m a super casual baseball fan, so I was fucking shocked when I looked at the rule book and saw that this wouldn’t be fan interference. How the fuck did that not get written into the rules? Or is it covered by another rule that I’m not finding?

And bitter as hell about it, yes.

Well, this is sure to fan the flames of my undying hatred of Finland.

There is almost zero chance that one would choose to make that specific statement in this context without knowing how fucking stupid it was.

Shockingly, this is not unique. There’s a restaurant in the United Center with a view of the hallway that (I think) links the basketball and hockey dressing room hallways. There’s a glass wall, though, so not entirely the same.

This isn’t some wild new thing that assumes the audience doesn’t understand what the subject of the song is; it’s how the Rocky Horror Show, from which the film was adapted, opens. Usually, the Usherette actor is also the actor who plays Columbia or Magenta. Considering the fact that this is a new adaptation, I’m not

You’re absolutely right, time will tell, and the editorial staff’s trust totally has to be won by management here. There’s a conversation about this exact problem happening further down in the thread, and I think you and I are on exactly the same page here when it comes to legal protections for the editorial staff.

This is fair, and I was kind of extrapolating. I think that part of the problem might be that at this early point in the acquisition, there might be questions about who the correct lawyer is. It’s hard to guess.

Being told how it’s going to be handled and having a contractual guarantee about how it’s going to be handled are completely different things, though. Tommy Craggs now has, at least until the appeals process inevitably restores order, a negative net worth somewhere in the seven figure range. That’s a result of being

Sticking my nose in uninvited, but as a pretty seasoned union representative, I have to agree with Alejandro: dude is just doing his job. I’m somewhat ignorant on the 1A issues here, at least to any appreciable legal depth, but in terms of his behavior in this context—as counsel for management in a labor relations
