I like the Nintendo switch online approach vs. The virtual console approach, but FFS that really is a friggin slow build up, and is completely useless if they start from scratch yet again on the next generation console.

I absolutely see what you mean. I enjoy the world, the characters, the vibe. I like that I actually know the minor NPCs and what’s up in their lives. But dang game, I don’t want to have to login every day. I want to just check in every so often. But if I do that I can give up on ever getting some of the rarer

With this and the browser shop redesign (with no wishlist??) it’s a pretty dang convincing argument to not buy games digitally on playstation.

I love foley so so much

“With the game’s more zoomed in perspective, however, dividing the screen up for multiple views became less feasible, and was ultimately dropped altogether.”
theeen maybe they shouldn’t have used that perspective. Local co-op was such a huge aspect of Dark Alliance.

I mean, it might not have been what was meant, but it still hurts every time I hear, as a woman who can’t have biological children. Rationalizing around what was meant doesn’t really help that it hits too close to home.

It looks like the exact same, but in 3D and someone pushed the saturation bar waaaaaaay up.
It’s a complete missed opportunity in moving the 4th gen games into the 8th gen.

oooh. A Mass Effect visual novel would do so well!

While I’m still sad for Anthem’s developers, I am so glad to hear this. This is the best news for me.
That said a Dragon Age multiplayer spin-off could be interesting. Not for me. But still I would love if they branched off and tried some different things with the franchise. Same for Mass Effect

Don’t do it! You’ll never play again!

(I say, just as I got my players to agree to DM the occasional one shot, and one of them even started an alternate campaign we play so I get to play as well)

same. Can’t tell what the game was, except that it was set in some city. Still trying to figure out what the deal was with the characters which are obviously from another game and the admittedly cool pixel princess.

While true and I absolutely respect him being straightforward like that, the game does come up with a reasoning for the outfit. Heck it’s an understandable and realistic reasoning too, but it’s still kindof a flimsy justification for that particular outfit.

The motion controls were great, but I’m very glad they offer another option. Hope it’s more accessible now.

The thing I really want them to fix though is Fi. I don’t think they changed a single thing about the game, but I still hold out hope that they reworked the tutorialness and the constant chiming in with analysis

wait, they are doing that? Damn, maybe I SHOULD get it

Ah but, you see, she needs to breathe through her skin or whatever

Kainé’s new face looks so strange to me (and heck, seeing brother Nier instead of father Nier). It’s definitely better in general, but I miss her longer face shape. It’s interesting to see what visual changes they took on. A lot of the character details are less exaggerated, even Nier’s hair.

Weiss! You dumbass!

This really sucks. It’ll impair creativity a lot, as devs have to make a wide berth around any mechanic that is in any way similar to this. Sure they could license it, but that’s not likely to happen.

it’s not objectively better. A better analogy is that it’s expecting a song that was composed for an ancient lute to automatically sound better on an electric guitar. The original results were the intention. The “compromise” was expected and worked into how the song was played. With a more modern toolset you could
