I agree overall that the story could have been stronger, but I still feel like it’s lightyears better than the shitshows that were Unity and especially Syndicate’s stories. The emotional beats about Bayek and Aya’s sense of loss and their marriage is clearly the best part, and in my opinion, really does resonate well

It’s worth noting that none of the individual Ezio games had great stories (ACII was the closest but botched the landing by NOT having you kill Rodrigo Borgia) either. It’s only when all three games are taken together that the story feels reasonably satisfying. And honestly, I think a huge part of that was the

My guess is that after largely abandoning a lot of the modern narrative stuff in the last few games, they’re tentatively testing the waters to see if they can build out a proper modern story with a new named lead character a la Desmond. I think enough people lamented the lack of it over the past several games that

Just recast Leia and be done with it. Old Carrie Fisher wasn’t THAT good.

It’s not tone policing, it’s professionalism policing. This kid couldn’t respond with anything resembling a strong argument so she resorted to swearing and ad hominem attacks on Banfield’s appearance. It was ridiculous, and damaging to her whole cause. There are good and bad ways to respond to criticism, and she dove

I will always ridicule immature morons, no matter their age. That said, you’re right. It’s less that she was 22 and more that she demonstrated the maturity of an actual child (or at least bratty teenager.)

If you can make sex last long enough to keep your heart rate in the aerobic range for a sustained period, then theoretically, yes. :)

Absolutely. And then she further destroyed all credibility the original article might have had when she sent that ranting, profanity-laden email to Ashleigh Banfield. Sigh...22-year olds.

“So much discussion about how bad on the proverbial “Sexual assault scale” this encounter was and who is to blame and not enough about just pay attention and show some respect.”

We can all blame the ridiculous immaturity of the Babe reporter for that one. The original Jezebel piece was dead right; if this had been

Tripping a 5-year old and screaming “asshole” in their face absolutely would be considered assault. I agree with your overall point though. ;)

Absolutely right. Now imagine saying that to someone who is basically a stranger.

I’m going to come right out and say that I think this is child abuse. Overwatch is not going to be around forever. When this game becomes obsolete, and this “supportive cool-dad” has gotten his quick buck, this kid is going to be behind and educationally fucked.

PS4 remaster, absolutely. That’s what I want!

Even so! I had a 360 last generation so I missed it. I’d love it on my PS4 now! :)

This is all well and good, but why the heck not Demon Souls??

Aren’t all Middle-Easterners still considered genetically Caucasian? I’m Lebanese/Syrian and white as fuck.

Best fights in the game?? They are literally just a reflex exercise of parry-counter, parry-counter, over and over. Every fight becomes meaningless when you realize that there is no skill involved at all beyond knowing when to hit the parry button.

I agree in essence, though I think a line does need to be drawn when the man (or woman!) doing the approaching is in a position of power over the other person, like a boss, supervisor, etc.

Yeah, that was my take—it was so extreme it felt like satire.

I get it, definitely, and that’s basically the (common sense) argument that Dr. Nerdlove made in response to the previous letter on this topic. It just strikes me that coming so soon on the heels of that previous letter, this one seemed like it was almost a willful exaggeration of the question of male uncertainty on
