I told you, its because SuperGirl has quietened some of that Anger

B
being the Star Trek fan you are I cant help but feel you think not enough is being said about JJ being kept as far away from that world as possible

is it not a bit "fly me to the danger zone" ish???

I seen that theory the other day and my god it brilliant! really paints the prequels in a better light!

I always liked the idea of a show I heard about long ago about a ship in the future and a nobody named kirk trying to live up to his ancestors name...

haha glad to see the joys of Super Girl didn’t permanently make you “Happier Geek” Quite right though Star Trek needs the enterprise. It should be set on the uSS enterprise M or something... WA in the future

Super girl, turning Angrier Geek into a HappierGeek since 2015

Doesn't quite have the same effect as either of these two

Humanity, it failed at the beginning!

the key i think is kickstarter record...

well to be honest the criticism about the finance as mentioned in this thread - I believe the fans to be right about this - or rather there is certainly no need to compare the cost of Shenmue 1 + 2 to the low figures got by Shenmue III and declare they dont match there must be alot of funding coming from else where -

I dont think there is one Shenmue fan that thinks the Kickstarter campaign has been handled correctly, infact having a look round Reddit, Gaf, ShenmueDojo, Shenmue500k etc, would suggest that the majority called for Awesome Japan to be dismissed pretty much day 2 - alot of fans just jump to the defence of the funding

This is what a lot of people do not seem to grasp - Suzuki used the phrase open world to describe Shenmue long before the likes of GTA, Skyrim and fallout claimed it as there own - when Suzuki uses it he is not using it to describe a game in comparison to the the open worlds out there - I mean Shenmue 1 was open

To be honest - Yu has said in his reddit AMA that Sega not only gave him the licence to use but also all the assets they had made when developing one and two - so there is a good chance that they will be porting a lot of stuff in...

Shiness would be a good game to quote I think - that seems to be running on Unreal, didnt ask for a lot of money on Kickstarter and still looks to be a good looking game

Because the funding was already met by day two of the campaign. Yu Suzuki’s initial goal was two million. As in, that’s the bare minimum to kickstart the game, minus any stretch goals. There’s no way in hell a game with scope of a Shenmue title - any Shenmue title - is gonna be made on a budget of two million dollars.

Now playing

Even with sonys input the budget is not gonna make massive heights - seriously why every single journalist has reported on this, wrongly without a tem of research is baffling... but lets break it down... we’ll start from kotaku, because well we are here... but it basiaclly all stems from this article...

to be honest, I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of stuff gets “leaked” in the run up to this

Now playing

I suppose he could be playing on an emu that upscales somewhat, but again its hard to tell
