Haven’t had a chance to play it yet but honestly I think this is great. Plus, I assumed the game would look pretty cheap but it actually looks pretty good? Wild.

Shenmue was greater than the sum of its parts. I, too, remember playing the original and finding it to be just a decent adventure game, a decent RPG, a decent fighting game, and a decent set of interactive cutscenes. Nothing spectacular.

The apologists are right though regarding the costs etc, even if 6,3M is less than what’s usually required to make a big open game. So I guess the score is 1 - 1?

Cool. If you did some real homework you’d know it never cost nearly that much to make Shenmue II and that game development costs these days comparred to 1999 are like comparing apples to steak.

Ah crap. I just uninstalled Dishonored a few days ago because I didn't see myself going back to it anytime soon. Oops. Sounds awesome though.
