Yes! Balance is where it’s at. It’s so elusive sometimes, but when you find it - hang on to it. That’s what always feels the best, I think. <3

I am in the exact same boat as you. I’ve been (mostly) incident free for 5 years and have put on weight. I work out 3-5 times per week, cook homemade meals at least 5 nights per week, love hiking with my dog; and also love bread, cheese, and wine. I’ve gone through cycles of trying to cut those last 3 things out

You got this!!

So hard! It’s so heartening to hear that you’re managing it though! I’ve gotten to a place where I only really get disordered when other things in my life feel disastrously outside of my control and I recognize it now as being a way that I try to regain a sense of order. I’m currently off of work on a medical leave

As someone who struggles off and on with disordered eating, your comment made me smile. I am working toward an attitude like yours :)

The “We have no options!” line really resonated with me, haha. I’m 35 too and it just ain’t gonna happen. Moreover, I don’t curr. Even in dating I feel no need to look a certain way anymore. It’s like “this is what you get, bud. Not interested? Cool, move it along.”

I think she actually put on a little weight for Fargo, which looked excellent to me.

Right? And when Dunst says that she’s 35 and eats fried chicken and hates working out, she doesn’t wanna lose weight, I was like, OMG IT ME. I just bought a pair of shorts a size bigger than anything I’ve ever bought before because I’m in my mid 30s, and the amount of effort it takes to make your body look like it did

As a female producer, working with a female writer-director, trying to get funding for a film starring a 55 year old woman, I 100% agree with Kirsten’s comments.
If Hollywood truly wants to see more women make films, it needs to start financing them.

And I kind of want to have sex with it.

4. Sean Spicer yelled that Comey was fired into the hall so reporters would overhear and break the story. This was followed by Spicy hiding in the bushes to avoid real questions from media.

We’re all just the forced audience at a four year long taping of “The Apprentice, Banana Republic Edition.”

I was on the Metro last summer and a gentleman got on and sat in a seat very close, but perpendicular to me. He appeared to be military...great shape, in a pair of khaki shorts and a polo shirt (very respectable) and carrying what appeared to be a gym bag. He could have just stepped out of the shower into fresh

Thanks, kid. Mike Pence also owes me (and every other LGBT person) and every woman in America an apology. But it’s a start.

I think that most men on employer plans won’t see much of a difference, they’ll basically go back to the way things were before the ACA. Women on the other hand will go back to having to pay for all their female medical care (women’s health screenings, birth control, maternity coverage).

My father in law died at age 55 from colon cancer. It took less than a year after his diagnosis. I know exactly what you’re saying because it’s so important to catch it early and it is a particularly awful way to die.

My husband died of Stage 4 colon cancer and during his treatment we discovered his grandmother and two uncles died the same way. I insisted my son go for a colonoscopy at 31. Several polyps were discovered and removed. The doctor said okay see you in 7 years and I was like hell no. NEXT year and every year. He’s

I hope it’s killed in the senate. If not maybe we should see if he can go ahead and get it done this year. His company is unionized so hopefully they won’t make any major changes either way since they’re under contract.

1) Ugh. I meant to say “before 50!” which is when docs start recommending preventative screenings. That said, one of my aunts was diagnosed at 29. Everyone else was in their 40s.

Also runs in my family, can ditto what you said. Colonoscopies are not fun, but dying in horrible agony at age 58 as cancer decimates your liver and brain - like my dad did - is a fuckton worse. Get screened.
