I wonder if I should get the GTX 750 for less than $100, then I can pick up a shield for $250, or get a GTX 770, for close to the same price. I am not sure if I even need a 770, considering my PC gaming is not extremely demanding with FFXIV being the main game I play.

I was surprised when I read that. Then I read your post. I distinctly remember them saying that Phase 1 characters would get wiped, however Phase 2 characters would stay up, even after launch. This was basically the same process that happened on PC.

Certainly looks like something that is beyond the capabilities of X360 or PS3. I haven't seen a bad looking Wii U game tbh. Granted I have mostly played first party games.

Well, not everyone needs to like every game just because it has a big following. Castlevania 4 was also a good game, but to me SOTN was a great mix of RPG and 2D action platforming, which is why I hold it in such high regards.
