So... other places are worse, so we shouldn’t aim to be better? What kind of thinking is that?
Except there aren’t any borders between Chicago and the rest of Illinois, or the rest of the 47 states that surrounds Illinois for that matter. A city wide ban is a step in the right direction... but is ultimately useless in keeping out guns.
Great, now can we please get a remaster of Skies of Arcadia? Please?
Agreed, it was pretty weak overall. The writing needed a LOT of work.
Tonally, they are very different... but I do think that Agents is better overall. Agents tends to lean into the cheese, and embrace it... whereas the netflix shows want to shy away from it... but end up having to go there anyway and it seems dijointed.
Agents of SHIELD started really working when they finally realized the cavalry wasn’t coming. Nick Fury was done poking his head around and the Avengers had bigger fish to fry.
Language is formed based on whatever becomes popular, even if they’re mistakes. So if N.E.S (Enn EE Ess) is the popularized verison, it’s the right version.
Great! Mackie is great and so is Altered Carbon. Can’t wait!
Gunn’s tweets weren’t funny or appropriate- but just like the Rosanne fiasco, the controversial nature of their sense of humour/personality were known in both cases prior to the projects they fired from. So Disney and ABC both knew who they were dealing with before they started in on the project... so who’s really to…
Yikes. I can’t believe the creators of that mess were so tone deaf.
For me it was Skies of Arcadia. It’s such an epic story with some great characters and the ending was such a satisfying wrap up... bringing the 80 hours of gameplay to an excellent end. Few other games had even remotely the same kind of emotional impact as Skies did.
Theory: The big “Delusion” is not David’s but Sid’s. We’ve been told this over and over that delusion begins with one thing: An idea. I think the Shadow King has corrupted Sid in the future, and sent her back to plant the seed in everyone’s mind that David is the bad guy. Thus, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy and…
Why does everyone keep trying to remake the Crow? I just don’t think it’s angsty themes would work now. Also the entire film is basically the women in the refrigerator trope writ large... there’s just so much that wouldn’t translate to today’s audience.
That’s such a weak statement. “If I was an asshole, I didn’t know I was being an asshole... so sorry I guess.”
I’m actually one of the few that didn’t hate the ending to BSG. There was a lot of stuff in the last season I didn’t love, but the actual ending I actually liked (Adama and Roslin’s last moments, the settlement, the flash forward) - but yeah, it’s a miracle that it actually ended at all.
I get all that, but on the other hand- it was the only show I watch on Syfy, despite being a huge SciFi fan. That’s kind of sad isn’t it? Does it still make sense if it means loosing people entirely?
It’s one of the best shows on TV, so of course they would cancel it! SyFy logic everybody.
