I don’t know that a recession in the way we think of one is inevitable. Part of the problem with the narrative is that everyone is acting like the only way to solve this problem is by reducing labor demand. You’ve got people like Larry Summers spraying urine everywhere over “wage inflation.”

It’s not inflation it’s price gouging. These companies are boasting record breaking profits, it’s literally just an experiment by the rich to see how much blood they can squeeze and get away with.  

The issue is that the Fed really only has levers to affect demand-side inflation, whereas virtually every indicator points towards the vast, vast majority of the current inflationary effect being supply-side. The Fed can in fact “do nothing” about inflation here, because the only way to make a big dent in inflation…

TikTok is owned by a Chinese company (which is controlled by the Chinese government), collects biometric data on users, and Chinese admins have full access to all of that data.  These are documented facts.  It’s not racist against Asians to say that TikTok is spying on you.

In your last point, considering the hell Rebecca Sugar and co went through to get LGBTQ scenes approved and what they sacrificed to make it work, I think it’s safe to say SU was anything but ‘Corporate faux-wokeness”. The CN executives are as bad as Disney’s to a degree.
