I'm not sure if I believe in reincarnation or not, but I do believe in the immortal soul so I don't count it out either. If we're speculating here (and we certainly are), I think that I had either a twin, sister, or friend who I was incredibly close to, but lost at a young age. I've always felt like I was "missing a

@ElsieDinsmore: Maybe not the most constructive reply, but your comment cracks me up in light of your name. I also agree with you that it doesn't matter who you were but what you were. It's a comforting idea that we get another chance to correct the wrongs we have done in the past, and ultimately become a better

One of my friend's profile pic on fb is a "save boobs, find a cure" type thingy. I know it comes from a good place, and it's meant to promote awareness in a younger demographic, but it irritates me a little. Yeah, it's great that boobs without cancer in them are nice to look at and all, but really shouldn't we be

@eg.5: "What are you? Bride of Frankenstein?" "An ex-wife."

@whedonfangirl: Ok, I'm a little ashamed I know this, but in an online bonus video, they showed that Craig and Ashley had gotten married, gotten famous, and gotten pregnant. Also: Emma and Spinner?! Fuck that shit, amirite?

The strangest advice I got about losing my virginity was to do it with someone I didn't care about, so things didn't get all tangled up in emotions. So a few months ago I tried to do that. And I ended up falling in love anyways. And he didn't. Things got way, WAY more tangled up than I thought they would. So my

@laraish: Happy Birthday to you, Goldbunny86 and sorryimnotsorry too! And thanks for the good wishes, the last few years have been a bit roller-coaster-y, so here's hoping for a good one!

So the last time I wrote on an open thread I had just started dating and was considering losing my virginity to a guy that I was insanely attracted to but hadn't known very long. Guess how that turned out...

@laraish: mine is 8/22/88, and this month I turn 22. I have OCD, and these seem like good numbers to me.

My aunt and uncle live in Wasilla, and it's all I can do not to call them up and ask "Have you met Sarah Palin? Is she a bitch in real life? What about Levi Johnston? Are they all just crazy?" etc, etc

@kelseyrae: Yeah, she drinks a lot on her show, so it's in the spirit of things.

@kelseyrae: OMG. Those cookies. So delicious. I've never been one to eat raw cookie dough, but with that particular batter I can't resist. Just one of the reasons I worship Martha. Another reason is because her show is awesome to drink to.

@slightlyhardup: What the WHAT?! Sean + Emma forever! This is not right. Not right at all. I can abide a lot of shenanigans on Degrassi, but don't mess with Emma!

NO!! Booth! And they just sent him to the middle east! I wonder if this will affect "Bones" at all. Gah! I'm so conflicted!

@DorothyBarker: Indeed, seeing that film at a young age is the source of my fear...

@flucky: I fear being sucked into the grain like quicksand and drowning. It's not really a rational fear, as I have no reason to go into a grain silo in the first place...

I have an extremely bumpy and prominent spine no matter what weight I am, so I don't have a problem with that aspect of things. However, I find mannequins terrifying on a level matched only by jellyfish and grain silo's, so making them look more eerily human can only lead to a horrifying, bloody end.

@dialing_footnoterphone: dude, I am totally watching Farscape right now. irrelevant to the conversation, but a very large coincidence.

Now playing

Finally! Someone who will appreciate this! I've been sitting on it for months...

This reminds me a little of a short story I can't remember the name of. A family preserved a dead infant child in a jar of embalming fluid and kept it on the mantle. I think the story was from the perspective of another child who grew up with them talking to the baby and keeping it part of the family... even though
